RIP3 failed prototype

3mm plastic, mag drive, 3 ants and stuff. This pretty much turned into Infection 4 (that's right it started out as a VS hahahahaha) although I changed a couple of things for this version. Despite the stabilizer in the rear (not seen here, it's a 30-60 segment), it's still pretty bouncy and ruined the wedge (the reason I4 was a popup, actually). You should expect something way different for what I entered.

1mm steel and stuff, 249kg. Still a crappy weapon setup, but at least it's more gut-ripper resistant :P

Oh, I just used Ouncey's SnS chassis for that. The batt and CB placement was perfect for my purpose so yeah, it was whipped up in about 5 minutes. :P

Yeah that chassis is sure useful.

When i'm thinking of it... maybe someone should start a building challenge or a tournament from a 2-ME, 2-ant-batt, 1-CB chassis like this one ?

just a little thing i've been working on

Just testing out a weapon motor setup, although there's still a couple of improvements to be made. And as usual, metal hinges refuse to cooperate so I'm down to BSG wedges which can't even get under my old bots.

But, I think a firestorm flipper might be better for the back instead of vlad flippers. Bigger surface area and more HP (I think...)

Setup looks pretty sweet though. I'm probably playing with fire by offering advice to the infallible and almighty Pwn...

Got around the unrealistic srimech issue by not opting to use the bursts as a srimech at all. And freed up some weight so improve the trapper. And for some magical reason, the wedges improved (by this --||-- much, which means it can at least go under Guard Duty)!

So yeah, 3mm plastic, 4WD NPCF, Perm 80s, and pretty airtight chassis (which is why I only had 6 ants instead of the planned 8).

I'm starting to hate the NPC's mesh. Damn thing won't let me place ants/large CB directly on top of it >:E

Stack them. I don't think it is considered cheating if you stack a component through the collision mesh while still being clear of the visual mesh.

Got to incorporate NFX's setup into DSL before Nary did

Tite 1, 4WD NPCF, 9 ants and stuff. And the wedge god finally relented and enabled the bot to get under Second Sentinel.

I thought burst motor wedges where heavier but better. That's what it said on the wiki. Maybe an extender with a small wedge?

not always, occasionally metal hinge wedges win against burst motor wedges.(look at my battle against Aeon in Two Tribes for example).

I have absolutely no idea. Most of the time the drive just forces the opponent up even further, although I never cared whether all of the weapons are dealing damage because either way I'm seeing greens pop up every half-second. :P
