Maybe it's time for me to make a DSL showcase. :D

So far, the only DSL bots I've built are the ones in tourneys and the ones going to the NAR AI. So here's the only 2 spare bots that're not used anywhere:

This is Flight Instructor. 3 Vlad spikes on a Perm 80, astro drive, 3 ants, 1mm plastic. Though I like the design, its steering is too slow, so fast bots can still KO it from the side. Moreover, the underside sheets still aren't wide enough to make it stable. So I rebuilt it, and this came out:

This time, I removed an ant, downgraded the wide ant wheels to regulars and upgraded to 1mm aluminum. I'm gonna give credit to Jules for inspiring me with his sh**AAR for this one. It's very much stabler than the first one, and the wedge actually helps in taking out rammers and pokers.

Oh well, back to stock for now... XD

Pretty good! I'm worried about battery life though. Maybe less weaponry...

Batteries are fine. That pic against 360AP had only 15 seconds left. I've always wanted an overkill on weapons. But since I couldn't attach a hex plate to a magmotor, I opted for the perm instead. However, I'm trying to make it have a better drive without sacrificing any of my weapon power. I changed the angled sheets to straight sheets, but it's too unstable for my liking. D:

A double wedge like that is near-worthless if you consider the top speed of the bot.

And yes, 3 ants are fine for that bot.

Hmmm... I'm gonna fool around with the wedge setup and see if I can get slims on it.

Interesting idea using the hex plate to attach the weapons. I don't think I've seen that before.

Failed to fix FI2's drive problem, so I made a LW version of Hard Hat:

Blunt Force Trauma, 5mm aluminum, NPCFs, everything else is visible.

And yep, still as uncontrollable as Hard Hat. XD

And - I cant get hexplates to attach to weapon motors of any sort

Just stick with 3 ants and get a WP365E in this.

Still 5mm aluminum and NPCFs. I just angled the sledges in because they look cooler that way. XD

It would almost seam to me that wedge is bad for it. SHould any bot get under it, the weapon can't really hit. But if you didn't have the wedge, they would be able to hit.

Just a thought.

Hmm... good point. But the wedge is mostly for countering other wedges. I couldn't flip Ninja and BROKE! over without it.
