Quack quack, nice looking duck.

A duck with a skull on it's head? Spooky.

Maybe I should change it's name to Deadly Duck!

either way it needs as a complete overhaul as the the frame and disk fall off if anyone sneezes near it.

that's what you get for using alu extenders I guess, so maybe Sitting Duck would be a more appropriate name!

it looks cool, but yeah that disc is going to be insanely fragile on a middleweight. if you took the dsl discs out of the pussycat wheels and shrunk the chassis a little bit, you'd have more than enough weight for a tougher disc.

I'll try that with the next version of it.

Also I forgot to mention the weapon motor is a Perm 80, will this be enough for a MW?

I made a few changes, the frame is a lot more simple now and made from titanium. I need to spend some time to get it to line up exactly.
With the weight I saved I could put a solid disk on with large Typhoon teeth (I think I had small before) and added a steel slab at the back for a bit of protection. Also changed to T-minus wheels for the better HP and control without loosing noticeable speed.

I've another bot show you all, this time it's an axe bot with Alu 3 armour and all the sheets are steel.

It's my first attempt at making a CW, I'm reasonably pleased with it apart from a few issues

I call it 'Art of Seduction'

admittedly this one is in dire need of a skin but I'll get to that...

it's insides

this is the problem with it (sorry for terrible quality) I'm gunna go ahead and assume this stops it from being IRl. I've tried fiddling around but can't find a solution to the problem, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Once I've solved the issues I'll BFE the burst motor and do a skin but I'm too frustrated at the moment!

Personally i don't see a problem with the wheel intersection, seeing as in real life that block wouldnt be there at all

Looks pretty good, it just needs a skin

So I made this thing really quickly just as a mess around. I had no idea 2 short burst motors with a polycarb sheet would be enough to lift the car a few feet off the ground.

I'm not looking for an feedback on this one, but it is welcome, I just wanted to show it because this is where my comprehension of how the game works is starting to come to together. A light bulb moment if you will!

you can double or even quadruple the size of the default skin template when you start a skin to make it higher-resolution.

I think I doubled it to make it easier to see then changed it back as I wasn't sure what it would do if I left it, I'll take this on board for next time

Thanks for the link, I'll check this out at some point too.

So I beefed Art of Seduction up a but to be a HW for GTM CS2 by:
adding more batteries
changing the wheels the backlash wheels
Increasing the armour to Plastic 10

after submitting it and feeling proud of myself I realised I could add a tail to stop it 'jumping' so much

It's still woefully underweight even with the tail but whats done is done

So I made a kind of generic drum spinner.
10 plastic armour, can't self right and the drum doesn't seem to hit that well or do as much damage as I though. It gets stuck a lot and runs out of battery towards the end of most fights... apart from that it's great

Any thoughts on how to address any of these issues would be great!

I would Use flat motors for the weapon,I would also make him inverted which you could do by making the body smaller.

There are many things that need improving on this design.
1. Not invertable/no shrimech - Depending on how you'd like to set it up, I'd look at real life drums or egg beaters. Hogoblin, Mandii & Tourus Maximus are examples.
2. The body itself can use a re-shape, the wheels sticking out like that looks quite frankly ugly, not only that I also believe that you can certainly make the chassis more compact. This will also give you extra weight to armour up the chassis
3. The drum - the beaters are a waste of weight, they look as though they won't hit anything, whilst I like the effect you're going for with the teeth I recommend using extenders as they keep the weight down. Either that or just use beaters.
4. Wedges - you will not out wedge anything. And they look horrible due to the fact they seem rather stuck on and have no flow to the machine. To create an effective wedge you want to hinge the wedge using the metal hinge or skirt hinge
5. Flatmotors - These motors are the best for creating a drum, found in the Cheatbot2 menu (rename your bot cheatbot2 to access it
6. Wider - Drums are effective due to the large frontal area that they cover. Make yours do that

Recommendations in general:
Space management - It appears you have design the chassis first then placed your components in. I would consider redesigning the bot the other way round. Really think about how you want the bot to perform and the components you'll be using before you start creating.
Look at some other builders bots for good ideas - Lurking is great to gain solutions and ideas for your bots, KillerTurtleG and Virus Bomb have both made beautiful Drum bots that I would highly recommend taking a look at.
Using panels - Try to protect the chassis as much as you can, using plates and extender, this can get a bit advanced but I recommend trying to get to grips with it. Start off by making front wedges with the panels and then go from there.

The axe bot - Whilst I like it, I believe there are a few improvements to be made, I would recommend using a geared beta, it would really give a big punch to the weapon. The tail can also be improved, try to get it more in flow with the body. But overall not a bad attempt.

Hope I could provide some help, sorry if the long block of text seemed overwhelming

I appreciate all the advise I can get! and with it I've created a much better drum spinner. Even if it is basically a Minotaur clone

decided to go back to simplicity with the drum
It isn't 100% protected but it does have Alu 10 armour

Any comments?
