Well I have been here a while now and for some reason never started a show case so I finnaly decided to do one.

Forget About It 248'ish
Here's my first bot and entry into Sheet Metal it's an IRL LW with plastic 3 5 ants npc's 2 ice picks and a sledge hammer. Does really well in competition.

It is a BOX!!! because I couldn't seem to think of anything that day but I'm overall happy with the result

That looks pretty hard for my bot to beat. Your bot would probably trounce it.

Ok, well don't use stock extenders and icepicks. The PA skirts would be a good idea but they are blocking other robots from getting to the ramming parts. It can be worked with though.

Hahaha that is quite accurate seeing how this bot is just plain bad, and how I'm going to correct him brutally.

-Don't use stock extenders
-Icepicks are just bad
-Way too much batteries, use 2 or 3
-Not enough weapons.

It is an IRL bot you know. I actually had to remove some stuff for Fotpex to accept it.

and what do you guys mean stock extenders?That in the front is a DSL Bar. But i will take your other advise and get rid of a couple ants and try to add more weapons.Thanks for helping.

While IRL pretty much means "can't build anything really damaging", it doesn't strictly mean "build really bad bots". You can build a decent bot and still be IRL.

If you want to (most likely) lose asap and be dubbed SFTW, use this.

If you want to stand a chance, listen to the advice I gave you.

Anyways, I and MassimoV were wrong on a point - that's not a stock extender, but a 120cm DSL bar. It just looked like a stock extender at first look.

I think you can just get rid of the icepicks. Maybe also use tougher wheels.

Yes, you can. Large ones preferably, and attach them by their side AP so they point towards the front of the bot and can hit with your sledgehammer.

Or simply use a few spikes, just not too much else it'll not be IRL. You must know that the more weapons you hit the opponent with at the same time, the more damage you deal, regardless of the weapon.

Ok so I added large beater bars instead of ice picks and I added hypno wheels, I also got rid of 3 ants and added plastic 5. better?

Yup.

I can see why you are putting these PA skirts to the side of your bot, but they might get you stuck on a wall if you get flipped.

But they protect as well. Your choice really.

It's a sub par DSL bot more than an IRL bot. Take ten minutes digging around on the builders database or watch some more recent fights on YouTube to get an idea of what bots look like IRL and them go from there.

I'll keep them ~~because I'm lazy~~ because FOTEPX said I had to have some type of external armor on it.
