Here is a clue: NAR AI. Not POPUP AI.

If someone should do the complaining about what bots i want in NAR AI that would be me.

And i am not going to stop the top builders from sending me a MW popup.

HA!  I was right all along, also one of the reasons I think:

Sledgehammers>Robot X Swords>Vlad Spikes
Tournament Record: 94 Wins - 50 Losses
Challenge Record: 2 Wins - 2 Losses

Hah! The normal only works on the flat sides! The edges are still deadly!
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

Hah! It stills really reduces damage !

I just changed Shadowmoon 4's weapon setup to 50kg hammers and it is much better.

Why do normals reduce damage?
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

And YOU, one of the top DSL builders, are asking that ?

Normals reduce damage because they can't damage in all directions, hence reducing the average damage of the weapon. If there is a slight angle between the weapon and the normal the damage is reduced (I think)

I was more curious about the angle thing your describing. I already knew what a normal was.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

yeah I wonder that too, in theory the vlad spike should be still powerful on its edge even though its "face" wont achieve damage

:O I think I now understand how SSG got the WBP over Urjak in CC2 when Urjak had flails

While I know vlad spike does have normal all along, I find vlad spike to still be rather good in practice.  A lot of the time the shape has more to do with it's damage output than it's actual stats.  Or at least, there are some weapons without normal that are still totally horrible damage wise in relation to something else with the same DP (frenzy hammer being the obvious example).

The back could use some protection, but then again that's not the point of the robot. I would not want to fight that head on.

Lets just say Nar has the greatest bot in the tournament so far, but I think Sage's bot might outwedge it *hinthint*

I wouldn't be surprised if you win the tourney with a bot like that, Naryar.

Not bad? That bot could rape any of our bots at any time!

Unless I try to rebuild Monochrome. XD

I like it. I'm currently re-building obZen for your pack, so I hope that HNM will have a rival soon enough.
