Yeah so if I lower the razors they're gonna go through the wheel.

I may however still change the razor setup. I don't feel it's the best.

And yes it's 4 ants

i just typoed.

@NFX : nah, it goes spikeball mode and therefore does damage to low popups as well. Not to mention that the lower disc spins when it is in spikeball mode.

I'm thinking Mags+minis so you can angle the razors down but I think that would be too slow.

Reminds me of my BTTB 4 bot.

If you switched the Vlads to Hypnos it would allow you to angle the weapons downward as well as make it faster, but you won't be able to get bottom protection that's just as good as what you have now.

... the whole point of the bot against a popup is to get unbalanced, go spikeball mode and damage the popup while escaping punishment.

Now for my War of the Giants prototype- 5mm Ti, lots of ants (something like 14)

It's a bit disappointing looks-wise, but it's supposed to be both a flipper and a hammer within the same weapon system. Untested yet.

Seems I was a bit out of ideas this evening. Anyone has ideas for making it cooler ?

Won't having the axle mounts like that really hinder bots going up onto the weapons? But I love the weapon system, I like to do that on my non-competitive, non-showcased stuff, just to flip and hammer, etc.

I'm not sure the wheels are the issue. I can imagine the front is just sliiightly ugly.

Yeah, still not at my greatest potential. Might have to do something with me having drank two beers before building it. And I have no ideas about how to make it better.

Cause they have ridiculously high fracture, they're the right size and because if I used Overkills the bot would be far too fast for it's own good. Don't want to pull a rage III on the arena.

So it's pretty much a rammer, but one which can grind away at any wedges it happens to be stuck on. Cool.

Though I wonder if the weapons are a little too much for piglets to handle.

5mm titanium seems a bit overkill to me. I think 3mm titanium would be sufficient.

One razor tip per beater bar...? I never thought I would have to say this, especially to Naryar, but it needs MOAR RAZORS!

The weapon motors will probably spin pretty slowly with the extra weight of the added razors, so upgrading the weapon motors wouldn't be out of the question.

I see you explained why you used the Cobra wheels, but their would be better wheels, in my opinion, but whatever.

The weapons on the sides, I can't remember the name, but they could be changed to some other part.

IRL building doesn't mean to use the worst parts in the game in place of the best parts, but it does bring more of the 'unusable' parts into play. You can still use all the best parts, but only in a realistic way. You can spam razors everywhere as long as they don't interfere with other parts that they shouldn't. I believe the "weld rule" would apply to a razor touching other razors.

Also, IRL building is based mostly on aesthetics, but in all honesty, that bot doesn't even look cool.
