Blast some unnerving music through the walls.

I am okay with this depending on music choice.

Been here for 1 day and already can make better IRL bots than most of us.

Whats so special about it?

My goal was to make a flipper that 'Settled into a mountain', as JP said once.

Probably because most of us who are here were pressganged straight into efficiency rather than IRL. Nowadays newbies get the choice at the beginning xD

Thy was the exception back then :D

Meet Max.
Hello everyone. Anyways, nice bot you got there. I like the flipper segment work.

Very good for an IRL style robot (realistic style rather than max efficiency of the weapons). Flipper segments won't get under much, and people generally avoid metal hinge wedges for IRL style building. Try to get some kind of sheet (the plastic, aluminum, titanium, or steel sheets) as a wedge piece at the bottom to get under robots, or you could use the small black wedge (in the extras tab), which is good for getting under things as well.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

This one is much less building for looks than building for functionality.

I was trying to build a LW flipper that could chuck opponents from the DSL arena. This one does it and then some.

Some flipping good examples (lame pun)

The flipper is similar in design to St Agro (I think) and Wheely Big Cheese... kinda.

Change the wheels to something smaller and maybe change to aluminum skirts.

I think they are aluminium skirts.

What wheels do you recommend?

That is aluminium, it can be seen in the second pic. It's just his weird habit of making some components transparent.

Nonono. Techno wheels aren't the good choice at all for a LW flipper.

How will it be invertible with Hypnos though?

Considering that every time it flips and throws itself and whatever's on it over.

I will have a look at Vlads however.

Disregard Gauche Suede, roughly half of his advice is BS thrown away without any thought to the bot's design.

Hypnos would be useless, as you can see, and Vlads would most likely be too small for the design to work properly when inverted. You may try them but I guarantee nothing.

Try slipperbottoms. Or even larger wheels.

Alrighty.

But now I have another issue. The game randomly crashes within the first 2 minutes of starting up. The window flashes white and fades out to not responding. It then closes.

It is impossible to do anything with the game doing this, is there a fix?

Doing so now.

But I don't understand how it was working fine for like, a month. And only within the last 3 hours has it been derping like crazy.

While I do this, is there any other AI packs out there that are more geared towards realism than DSL. I mean, its good and all but... yeah.

(Can you even install new add-on packs I don't even know)

Live Designs AI is the only one ATM but it hasn't been released yet (cmon guys send your teams...)

There's also Realism AI but most of the bots are mediocre and use custom parts...
