*sigh* This is the difference between a decent IRL builder, and a great IRL builder. Myself and Thyrus can normally manage maybe 1 or 2 designs a week, Mike here craps out 13 in 3 days and most if not all of them are gold. It's depressing and inspiring all at the same time!

I'm making a bunch of things, not sure which I'll go with yet.

I feel your pain man.  It took me an entire evening to line up the tornado wedges just right on El Chupacabra.  The connection point on it is crazy.  :P

Playing around with a design meant to toss the opponent into the hazards.

How well does it work in practice?

I thought counter-rotating saws caused it to turn one way?

Seems to do pretty well, it'll flip all over the place due to how small it is, but it's almost perfectly symmetrical, so it's able to attack just as well when inverted.

A set of blades spinning results in gyro forces when turning, an equal size/weight/MOI set of blades rotating the opposite way(relative to the other blades) will counteract that force, resulting in a net gyro force of 0 as long as they stay balanced.

He could be talking about yaw or roll instead of pitch. Same principle as drive wheels turning the bot, instead of the Troll Dance effect.

Here's a whole fleet.

layout for reference-
12345
6789

Of the bots, 2, 4 and 8 are my least favorite from a realism standpoint, though they're all well within reason. 5 is a pain to drive and doesn't hit all that hard, but it looks cool. 1 is pretty solid. 6 is very deadly in the right situation.

I just made something with nearly the same chassis as 2 & 4. it was a drum instead of a VS/sawbot though.
