I seem to remember someone doing an Alcoholic Stepfather clone from a while back with this same mechanism. I'm guessing that's how you found out that Mecanum wheels are just not worth it?

I think for that it was literally just some hidden motors with wheels that would shove the bot sideways.

yes, that's by far the simplest idea to implement mecanum wheels

Surprisingly enough, just the two heavy servos have enough power for it to flip itself over, and it can at least flip emergency when it's got some drive train assistance.

That far VS is absolutely amazing. The one VS is hella confusing though.
