A short break from the LW's for a somewhat renovated HW from quite a few years ago.

Real nice looking HW. It reminds me of Hazard, but has a bit of a stock feel to it too because of the Iron setup.

Love the showcase and the realism involved. You build great bots and you get me wanting to get back into DSL...

Looks very nice, though it looks like it lacks the ability to KO.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Biggest hit so far is 14511. Still working on balance a bit, but it's reasonably stable. Most problems come from it launching backward on a good hit and tapping the wall.

For the LW, you might want some more front protection.

For the HW, you will want to use Whyachi drive motors instead of the kind your using.

Both bots look very nice though.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

The flamethrowing LW is hard to see.  Not sure what to make of it, other than that having two flamethrowers is probably overkill.

The juggler LW looks great.  I didn't think it could be done that effectively on a LW.  I don't see how you could have beat Lock Nut with those exposed axles and chassis (at least once the wedges are gone), though.

Big Bang Theory:  Urjak, those are the drive motors.

Kind of along the same lines as my bot Phasmatodean, except I bet BBT is a lot more combat effective with its faster spinup time.  (Phasmatodean was never really a serious combat bot; I just wanted to build the biggest VS possible.)  Looks a little fragile with those exposed drive motors, but it probably delivers some huge hits.

To lack feeling is to be dead, but to act on every feeling is to be a child.

2 flamethrowers: Honestly, I just think it looked cooler having the dual flame jets, plus I think it effectively doubles the damage rate, as they appear to be calculated independently.

Juggler: The way the catcher on the top interacts with other bots is a big factor. It's quite springy and allows me to keep right up under them. It may not be completely clear, but Risky lost one of the axles before KOing LN. Not certain, but it almost seems like the springyness helps reduce damage to the plates in combat.

Scary thing with the juggler, besides changing the two shell plates in for what was a plow and playing around with different teeth, that was my first attempt at a TS/Juggler/whatever else you want to call it.

Risky Machine... That name remembers me of... some *totally unknown* bot of mine

Nay, it's well built.

BBEANS 6 will be epic with things like that.

You might want to take a look at my Punt, I solved most of the problems you're having with Big Bang. Just don't stack the perms, it's madness!

As yet unnamed LW face spinner

Beat 360 Arc Pounder, Poison Stinger and Berserker without much trouble.

The top spinner(renamed Power Mad) can beat all the DSL lightweights besides 360 with ease, and with 360 it's a toss up most of the time.

I just built one similar to the first. What kind of drive motors does it have?

And i like the realistic top spinner.

Here's some internal shots the likes of which you can usually only find in those magazines they keep behind the counter.
