I normally don't go too far into a bot's building until the chassis is correct for the amount of ants I need. (Then again sometimes I get lucky and it fits perfectly first time)
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Bump.

New bot which I need a little advice on. I know the mags are slightly off being aligned (doh) and I will fix that, but my main question is whether I should lengthen the wedge or give it hypnos when I remove the Angled Side Panel which isn't helping much. Also, I suggest you get your magnifying glass out for this one.

Tie 3, 3 ants.
It also needs a name.

Angled panel might be helpful for invertibility (when you rotate your drive properly). As for upgrading to Hypnos, it depends on whether you're gonna focus more on speed or on durability.

32 > 16*1.5.  Drop the Mag and use NPC Normal.

Shiny Hub + NPC = 47 kg.  Mag + Hypno = 48 kg

If you are not on NAR AI, then the 12000 HP motor obviously beats the 400.

If you are on NAR AI, you can use NPC with rubber wheel for even greater speed, at the same cost of 48kg.  Plus more HP on everything.

Basically the 4 usable drive motors in game are, Astroflight, NPC Normal, NPC Fast, and E-Tek.

At least switch to TWM3's, save 6 kg of flippermakers.

Is the wedge good ? (I don't think so right now but unsure)

Actually, you might want to consider NPC + Rubber if you got 2 extra KG to spare.

On DSL, Shiny has 2000 HP, while Rubber has 3000 HP.

On NAR, Shiny has 1 grip, While Rubber has 1.2 grip.

Both are worth 1 kg if you ask me.

Would benefit from more weapons.

The cutting teeth are worthless and you should know it :P Hell, you might even ditch all the side extender work and use 80cm plastic angled skirts for balance...

The p skirts arent even there for balance there for protection from HS....XD

What do you suggest mighty nar of the yar?XD

Anyways, got bored and made something that i wouldn't normally make..

Realism Questionable. But the front armour isnt mounted on the side aps of the skirt hinges, so it should be ok. Razors on the other hand..

Nah, HnM4 used that weapon setup. But try and extend the front wedge a bit further back, over the top of the robot, so the razors have some distance to travel and accummulate speed before they hit the opponent. I don't really like the look of the big Tite sheets on the sides, It'd be way too easy for an opponent to get under them.

The second wedge looks like it has too much ground clearance to work against flail SnS.

3 wedges are useless on HWs. 1 or 2 is fine.
