Ooookay. You only need 1 control board, and don't use the long flat black batteries. The drive motors you're using aren't intended to be used for drive - I'd recommend using NPC Fasts, also maybe bring the chassis height down a bit. Might save you some weight for armour. Finally I recommend changing the topic name to 'Pastrana2000's DSL Showcase', as we don't tend to showcase just 1 bot in a topic in case you didn't notice :P

Eh, there's worse. and no, more than 1 CB only wastes weight.

also everyone has only one showcase for all their DSL bots, so don't make another thread for another robot of yours.

Edit : also you may want to check my signature for a DSL building tutorial.

instead of control boards, you could have just throw in batteries or something.

Or Ballasts... Naryar <3 Ballasts.

But, ummm... yeah.  Welcome to the forums. Looks like you are enjoying the game, which is cool.  You got a ways to go as far as learning new tricks to make your bots awesome.  Please take the time to look through the showcases and gain knowledge.

Just a question.Do you tend to prefer to do mega realistic "this could practically be in robotwars" or efficency over realisticness or unrealistic, not buildable in real life.Tell us and the advice will be more tweaked.

How do you control it with buttons alone?

put 1 button for forward, 1 button for turning left, 1 button for turning right, 1 button for backwards.

I like to go some unrealistic but more on the realistic side of things.
