You should definately upgrade your drive motors.
Plow on the back aint doing much, weight could be used for better drive, moar razorz or even better placed armour.
You will want to protect the bottom on that bot, or put a wedge on it, otherwise it's prime gut-ripping food.

I gotta say it looks pretty cool. Your building is improving. The other thing that I notice is that you obviously took a lot of time to put that bot together (lining up the motors and weapons).  I think that when you spend a lot of time focusing on one bot (effective or not) you learn a great deal in the process.  Good work.

How to? Haven't actually considered what would or wouldn't make a good Drive Motor

And The plow on the back Stops you from flipping it. The bot does a controlled Havok, I don't know how to explain it. But it bugs out and keeps doing flips until its right side up again. It also stops Havoking if I stop spinning the Razors though, rather odd bug.

I'll consider the concept of Gut Ripping, and as inspiring as it sounds, might make a bot designed around it.

NPC's, probably the most usefull drive motors, you usually only see astroflights on LWs.
Don't use the standard NPC's though, unless you're exostacking, you'll want to use the "right" and "left" versions, simply because they're easier to place and fit in.

Also, if you have the plow primarily for that, does that mean the bot isn't invertible?

Its supposed to be, but because its 1.9X1.9, it Havoks when upside down. The plow makes it only disobey the laws of Gravity.

Holy carp, that's a lot of chicken drills.  It will guzzle batteries like nobody's business but I can see how it would be ridiculously powerful.

It would Guzzle batteries if I kept spinning the motors, but due to the razors hitting each other as it spins, I only have to push the ignition switch for about 4 seconds for it to keep spinning indefinitely until I hit an object.

That being said, I put at least 10 batteries in there just to avoid running outa Battery Power.

New bot! I built this one just to see how stupid I could be.

  • 3 cm Titanium Armor.
  • Lots of unnecessary empty space
  • Angled Wheels that only touch the ground on the corner
  • 8 total weapons, attached to easily broken fiberglass extenders
  • De-attached flag components that fly far above the robot contributing absolutely nothing to the design
  • Wheels protected by Titanium Sheets
  • Batteries float in the air, not actually attached to the robot
  • Altogether; WTF?

Enjoy ripping it to pieces, I built it for lulz.

Typhoon flags are crazy...
You say the sheets protect the wheels, but they're just to the sides of them!
Though, this cannot be regarded as a semi serious bot in the slightest, so there's nothing more I can really say other than that.

I will keep that in mind, next time I build something 'for the luls', as I mention when posting the robot.
You see, I don't actually take this game too seriously, so I don't mind how good the robot is at actual combat, I build it so that it looks good, or confusing, or just to see what happens. As such, trying is out of the question. In fact, once I spend too much effort on a bot, I no longer am having fun, and is not the point of a game, to have fun?

Yes, but building something that can't even move is't too fun.

Actually, it can move, and I'm not talking about in circles either. The robot crawls across the arena in a straight line when I have the LB[1] wheel spin clockwise, the RF[2] wheel spin counterblockwise, and reflect the pattern with the other corresponding sets. It actually moved at a decent rate, I was capable of getting about 500 points of ram damage in, and it is intended for spinning.

I found it quite fun to make this bot, and what is of course important, is if the person playing the game had fun, not the performance level of the vehicle in question.

I guess you are right, but in all seriousness, at least put the wheels on the inside and give it stronger motors.

The wheels are indeed badly angled, and if I was intending on actually fighting with it, I would of course be placing those wheels on the inside within seconds.

As for the motors, I couldn't improve them if I wanted to, this robot is built to the weight capacity, and so the additional batteries (due to Amp usage of course) and the weight of the motors themselves would cause me to have to remove a good portion of my armor, or weapons, both of which I need in excess amount for a robot as large as this one.

I will of course consider your advice if I ever go back and try to make this robot more combat efficient.
