Finally you made a showcase. First rule to better building is using less space.

Oh yeah, I forgot. Replace the hammer with a rack of razor tips, 10 weapons do more damage than 1, no matter what.

Why are Razors so illogically effective?

They have  the best weight-to-damage ratio among all the small weapons, and they are normal-less (IE the whole surface area of the weapon is defined as damaging rather than say one designated point like the tip of a pole spike)

Pretty much. Razors are the glass cannon of DSL weapons, they deal really high damage if you can get them to good velocities, however they are rather fragile.

And there is nothing illogical about the razor efficiency. When clickbeetle modded all the DSL 2.0 weapons to DSL 2.1, he made them all to have 60000 efficiency (efficiency is (183.3*piercing+100*concussion)/(Hitpoints x Weight)).

and 30 Razors can get 20K points in less then 20 seconds, So if I hadn't discovered this on my own; This would have probably been absurdly the best advice I was given all day.

No.

Less space used, small hit-box. That's why, right?

Well if my first bot is getting kills by literally any and every enemy, I obviously needed the advice ^^ Thanks.

Also, keep in mind that body weight is based on surface area, not volume.  Your robot has a very complex shape, and that's actually making it heavier than it needs to be.  I personally don't use anything more complex than a T-shape

Total HP of a chassis is weight * efficiency.

So for a Heavy Weight, the complexity of the chassis shape really doesn't matter.  If you want a lighter chassis, just lower the armor.

It only start to matter for lightweight and below since you can't lower the armor any further.

Righto, still, the weight could have been better used on weapons, rather then weird Chassi shaping, so it was a good tip.

No it doesn't make a difference because you can get that weight back by lowering your armor class, and have the same KG and HP as your simplified higher armor counterpart.

The real reason chassis shape matters in a HW is the likelihood of it getting hit.

Pardon, but how could I lower my armour class while still having the same KG and HP?

You didn't finish the sentense.

"as your simplified higher armor counterpart."

Meaning a super complex low armor chassis will have the same HP as a simple high armor chassis given they

1.  Weight the same
2.  Using armor with the same efficiency.

So a complex titanium 1 armor chassis at 20kg has the same HP as a simple titanium 5 armor chassis at 20kg.

oh, btw, I made this back on March pardon me, I meant May 20th, its still the most effective thing I've made.

The engines on the Razors actually work pretty well, they Razors end up pushing against each other, causing the motors to only need to be pushed once, they Razors keep their speed until I hit an object, and then I do approximately 19K damage in about 8 seconds. I've scored up to 84,000 with it, and havn't lost a fight [excluding King of the Hill] with it yet. But since I still think its a bad bot, I forgot to post it here, and I'm now working on uploading new AI's to make better bots.

1 Ant= 1 Spin motor. And try and use the blue control board as its lighter.
