Final Havok 15

(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Had to lose the spike strips for weight.  :(
Sorry, but I hate that

I know you can build better flippers than this

As far as I've experienced, the best designs for HW flippers are the following:
4 Small JXs
2 Beta Bursts
1 Beta Burst with MOAR RAZORS

Or if you're really adventurous, 4 Large JXs  :gawe:

Betas must be fully powered to be effective, you can't have fully powered 3

Snippysnippy

The point of H15 was wedgyness and thick armour. I find that the 2 beta flippers are powerful, but no room for weaponry.

What I might do now is make Havok bots flip and cataclysms destroy.

Expect H16 to be very different

I recently made a 3 beta flipper, I even got it fully powered, but it had mehish wedges and pathetic armour strength, so no, not worth it.
For havok 16, have you experimented with bsg's? While it may take a little while to get the setup right, they're very good economy wise, I haven't checked, but I imagine more economical than betas overall, and it would be easier for you to sacrifice a bit of flipping power for more armour/better wedges or whatever.

2 Betas are pretty much all you need to flip anything OOTA. Second Sentinel can flip Big Stig up to the roof at certain times. You just need to fine-tune your AI and smartzone placement.

Well the few times I got to actually use the flippers before the bot got wrecked, it seemed t flip OOTA wherever it was in the DSL tourney arena. Besides, overkill is a beautiful thing  :p

That's what I tried with H15 with a smaller chassis and amour. H16 will probably be going back to the JX bursts like H1, 2, 3 and 4.

But thats flippers

Here's a... whatever this is.

Why the mags?
Those axes are gonna get eaten up anyway, and they're not gonna deal much damage at all.
It's gonna need a bit of updating that bot anyway.

And don't use JX's for the next havok, they're not really worth it.
