Behold, another underwhelming robot that only wins about half of its fights!

Flirting With Disaster
Lightweight

Type: Thwack
Chassis: 3mm Plastic
Propulsion: NPC Fast Motor x2, Slipperbottom x2
Power: Ant Battery x4
Weaponry: 50 kg DSL Hammer on a 120cm Aluminum Extender

OMD
Offense: Average
Weapon is capable of dealing moderate to significant damage with quick back-and-forth or ramming motions. SnS rarely ends well.
Maneuver: Above Average
Quick and maneuverable, but easily pushed about.
Defense: Average
3mm Plastic armor is incredibly fragile. However, hammer is tougher than most LW weapons, and can be reliably used as a shield, often breaking the enemy weapon in the process.

Pros
Quick and maneuverable
Strong hammer weapon
Properly operated, has very little to fear from most LW spinners

Cons
Chassis armor may as well be made out of paper
SnS tactics are self-destructive
Ineffective against more than one opponent

Summary: I'm not sure what to think of this one, really.

Not bad but could use some improvements.

  • replace the weapon extender work with a DSL bar on a multi-extender
  • get rid of the ballast before Naryar eats you.
  • 2 NCP fasts can run off of 2 ant batteries, so get rid of 2 ants.
  • switch to vlad wheels, and if you can, switch to the blue CB.
Also, nice avatar!  XD
Tournament Record: 94 Wins - 50 Losses

I don't eat ballast users - i tried once, but then my stomach went over the weight limit and it's quite painful.

Anyways, do what ounce said, excepted that you can use 3 ant batteries for more battery life.

Ok, replaced with a DSL bar, though I'm not sure how a multi-extender gets involved.

Removed one battery, switched to Vlad wheels, to the blue CB, and gave the ballast to a hobo, who threw it back at me. Used the freed-up weight to upgrade to 5mm plastic.

And thank you.

Edit: Performance so far seems... similar. I still trash bots I used to trash (That Dam Dustpan, Backlash), and Pussycat and Tornado still make a mockery out of me.

Multi extenders attach to the baseplate and are lighter than baseplate extenders.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Tornado? Why are you fighting MW's with a LW?

Tornado isn't much of a threat anyways.

Destroyed Tornado Mer. and Chaos 2. Robot X used to be a nuisance, but with thicker armor now, he can't get in enough hits before I break his weapon. Mangy Mutt did surprisingly well, actually pushed me into a couple hazards. If the game counted hazard damage as part of your score, he might've won.

For the LW, downgrade the armour and add Techno's, make the bar longer, or make the hammer heavier. Also - and this is quite improtant to me but not to others - improve the painting on your chassis. Get a few decal packs.

NPC+Technos is a huge gamble on a LW if you don't have enough stabilizers. Once its motion gets interrupted by a wedge, that hammer will just flop around in the air and become useless. NPCF+Hypnos is safer and is harder to target, but make sure its stance is wide enough to accelerate fast. :D

Make the chasis smaller!

I can do a nice enough paint job with just the one decal pack without skinning :P

I usually map the movement to the WASD keys (since I'm left handed) and my main active weapon to the Space key. If I have any secondary weapons, they usually are mapped to the X or C keys.
