Playing with some CCIV Projects...
Blueberry = Failure

PlaZma = Cool, but Not so good as I hoped.

Turbomobile = Just a Random toy.  :gawe:

GyroBlaster = My current CCIV Entry.

Plazma looks AWESOME. =D But I think Gyro Blaster looks like quite a good bot to go up against. Armour on it?

IMO, Plazma > Gyro Blaster

Notably because your static wedges are going to suck. Believe me, I tried.

I think plazma would do the best, it's very compact and quite a good weapon, gyro blaster is too big and cumbersome IMO.

Yes Jonzu, that's it, enter the brittle VS. *waits to see it be blown apart by Bane*

All of that aside, I like Plasma, but could see how it's performance might be lacking. I could see it being easily outweaponed.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

MOAR RAZORS

You are right... but I thought that was a static wedge because on these designs, static wedges are BETTER for stability that skirt hinges.

I'm not the best VS builder here, but I have built and failed enough of them to see how they work. You're going to go spikeball mode (tumbling around the arena) very soon :P

I hope to god he doesn't. In my view, robots going into spikeball mode is a direct violation of the controlled movement rule in most tournaments. It's probably fine if it happens once, but it's not something that should happen during every single match.

I reckon, on Gyro Blaster, you might want to just have stabilizer arms out to the side, and remove the need for wedges altogether. 'Cause most popups are going to have metal hinge wedges anyway, they're going to go straight underneath.

I tested them. Gyro Blaster beats PlaZma. And Gyro Blaster doesn't turn into spikeball.

Try it against Final Z or an HS with more weapons.

Gyro Blaster isn't very good against HS's. But I hope that The arena is on my side...

Fun design, but too slow. You probably don't need more than piglets for these weapons anyway.

Anyways, about the actual robot. If you removed the flipper extenders and made the extender work less messy, downgraded the motors and drop the armour a notch or two, you might be able to 3 saws.

It isn't all about having more weapons just so you know. If you downgrade everything to get another sawblade on, the bot will suck.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time
