Ah, right, I see where we were going wrong. =) Would the bottom drum be able to be removed, thus the DSL disc and Lightning spikes could be added? You could use a Large Drum component instead of two mediums, I think that would look a bit more of a likeness, personally.

Just add weapons on the side of the drum.

You might want to cheat be cunning and mod the attachment points so the claws look more like Metagross's ones.

I didn't think it could be done... but you did it.

Indeed it does.  :D  Powered simply by a Perm 80.  Damage factor is o.k.  I went with light DSL teeth so that I could spend more weight making the legs look better.

IRL Middleweight bot.  Was in a weird building mood today.  Not sure if I will enter it in any tourneys.  Damage capabilities are ok at best.  Drive motors are too zippy and cause most bots to go up and over the wedges without taking much damage from the spinner.  Might tweak it some more, but I gotta get working on something for Groudon's tourney.

I really like the looks of that thing. Awesome choice for wheelguards, I love the Storm II lifter use as well. I can't help thinking a Small Wedge component might go better up front a little, and it might be better as a Vertical Spinner or a Drum, rather than an HS. 'Cause the opopnent's just going to go straight up over the top. Would it work if the wheels were nearer the apex of the T-Minus flippers?

I thought the same thing.  It would be more effective AND look even cooler with a small disc/drum in the gap between Storm flippers.

Good seamless use of the Storm flippers too.  I didn't even notice that those weren't part of the chassis at first.

Make it a VS, as NFX said. As now, it can't do enough damage to win.

this is awesome. I try to get rid of the shapes the game let you do with the domeparts and flippermakers but your use of the storm arm is just awesome.

Thanks for the comments guys and you are all right. It would be better as a VS.  Unfortunately, the chassis is two clicks above baseline so a vertical Perm 80 will not fit seamlessly in the chassis.

If I mod the current design I think I can VS is by using a piglet, otherwise I gotta rebuild if I want to use a Perm 80.

A lot of the flipper parts (like the Storm 2 arm) have a very wonky collision mesh.  It's very possible to integrate them into the design to make it look like part of the chassis if you are careful not to let them be a base part touching the ground.  Biohazard Arms are really easy to integrate into a chassis design, but they tend to go under the floor if you use them as support pieces for something like a Nightmare style vertical spinner.

I've never seen T-minus arms and Storm II flippers on the same robot.

If I can squeeze into the HW bracket... This is my entry for Battlebots 5.

Splash complete with soundtrack. Click on Spoiler and press play.

I wanted to make something for an IRL tourney using Pussycat Blades effectively.  I am pretty happy with the result.  It's not invertible and wedgeless but the damage factor is pretty hardcore. Side protection is nice, courtesy of overkill blades and a messload of hexplates.  Underside protection is not-so good, which is pretty common in combat robots.  Turtles eh? gotta love em.

Oh, and special thanks to NFX for inspiring me to use a higher res with my skins.  I thought the look of Challenger was so awesome I had to get into 1024x1024 myself.  I wish I had done that a long time ago.

Edit:  fixed splash to show correct weight XD... this Bull is not on a diet!

I thought that looked a bit heavy to be a Middleweight. XD

That looks properly brilliant, though. I love when bots like this get made almost entirely outwith the chassis, it gives it a great "scrapyard" look, which I like. I'm glad I inspired you to use a higher res skin, it does look especially brilliant with it. Would the Pussycat Blades not be better all pointing upwards? =)
