Preliminary design for BTTB tourney. Still working on ways to save weight to boost the armour.  Any feedback is cool.

Try attaching the drive differently that looks kinda heavy. Maybe stick it in the chasis. That way you can dump the long end extender and the drive extenders which might free up enough weight to upgrade the wheels. Two Shinny Hubs on NPC's aren't enough anymore. You might want to try Techno Destructo wheels.

On a good note... It looks awesome and like a typical JD bot. It's good to see you haven't skipped a beat in your absence.

^yet another very helpful post from Naryar^

I like the look of it, but yeah, you need more drive. I like SKBT's suggestion.

Thanks for your feedback. Should I shoot for 4 wheel drive? Or are there more efficient motors that I am overlooking?  I don't want the bot to be super-fast because GK's Twisssssted arena has drop walls right?  Thanks again.  Will try to work on it this weekend.

Yeah, doesn't the twisted arena have walls that drop down do bots can fall over the edge? (or am I thinking about Clash Cubes?...)  I guess I should go check out videos from the last BTTB and find out. :D

Nah use grippier wheels.

And really that weapon setup *ahem* *cough*... i know it's for cool looks but it is quite messy. Try discs.

Don't use a multi extender to attatch th PA wedge on the back, Use aluminum or titanium extenders.

Thanks! I will try to find better wheels for the setup.

Actually, I started with discs and went with this design because I get 4 Mounting points per arm.  The weight comparison seems to be comparable.  The other thing that I like is each arm has its own DP and it is nearly impossible to knock off all the weapons.  With a disc, the bot could/would lose all its weapons in one sweep if the disc is knocked off.  After a bunch of testing, I rather like setting it up this way.   Oh, and it is surprisingly stable as well. One arm can get knocked off and it still spins rather well.  I weapon-spammed the heck out of each arm at first, but then didn't have enough weight for efficient drive after, but there is a lot of potential (IMHO).  I appreciate your feedback though!  You still are the king.

Give it a shot naryar, you would be surprised how efficient it is.

Got it! I was being lazy there because the other extenders were too fat to wedge in between the drive motors... I will fix that.  :D

Beaters on top of DSL bars are a waste of weight. Remove them, add 2 moar ants.

And these are not hypnos...

Gah!!!! Technos... I meant to type Technos.

And yeah, you are right.  I put the beaters on there because the maces cut through the DSL bars making the setup unrealistic.  However, now that I look at it again... I think I can rotate the DSL bars 90 degrees and ditch the beaters.  Will take care of that ASAP.

I like the use of the Behemoth scoop.  Did you plan on using that from the beginning?
