That depends on people's perspective of what they call a newbie.
Some would call me a newbie, others may not

Vertigo is a newb, 027 is not.

Do not use multiextenders for external extender work. They are very low on HP. I would shy away from all the hex plates. They are useful on spinners, but weighing 4-5 kgs each, they really add up when using a lot. Use DSL Bars for wheelguards and use the side attachment points on extenders for the rammer. You can get 2 spikes for 2, 3, or maybe even 4 or 5 kgs instead of 1 for 4. The wide ramplate is worthless, it has very low HP for whatever reason. Only real useful ones are baseplate mounted Titanium halfsheets and the Titanium Sheets (30kg big ones) for armor. Do not use DSA, it is the worst armor in DSL, and do not use Aluminum, it is very inefficient. Normals are parts on certain weapons that do damage. On weapons like Iron Spikes, razor tips, and beater bars (among other things), they do damage no matter what part hits the other bot. Other weapons like Pole spikes and Pointy tips only do damage at the point.

ps: I like how this showcase is going, keep up the bot building and just listen to our advice. We are pretty much always right.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

I lol'd. Don't know why, though, it's a perfectly valid statement.

Somebody is pretty much bang on here. Use DSL bars for the wheel protection, and mount the razor tips on aluminium/tite extenders rather than hex plates. With the amount of razor tips you'll have on there, your opponent would have toruble getting to them.

Also, Titanium 1, 3 and 10mm armour gives you the best HP for its weight in most cases, as well as plastic 5, so use them as much as you can, unless you're trying to keep the weight down on a small chassis AW/BW or something, rather than DSA, which is rubbish in DSL.

You do seem to be picking things up quite quickly, I have to say.

I cant find a component called a dsl bar, though i will change him to titanium 10 from steel 10
Edit: I found the dsl bar, and he is now a really effective middleweight (After some chassis trimming)

Edit 2: Just realised i need to trim off .1 of a kg

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but if you have a bot with spin motors only, you only need 1 ant battery per spin motor - whatever the spin motor is (Even a 220kg Dual Perm). I like to have 1 extra just for good luck personally, but yeah. Burst motors change things, they require more ants and I'm not sure how many due to never using them myself, so for your rammer there, you would only need 4 ant batteries.

You're coming along nicely already, well done.

If you can build 2 more MW's by midnight you will have an OK ELBITE team.
