Metal hinge with either Ti halfsheet and a small wedge, or just a long angled sheet. (80cm is good)

Betas and batteries are fine. Armor is overkill though.

Would it still work if the front sheets were downgraded? I'm thinking they're steel at the minute, so if you dropped down to titanium, maybe (at a stretch) swapped 6 ants for another tall battery, that would drop the weight down to 2500?

Yeah i should probably downgrade the armor and put on some dsl bars as armor
and the weight is fine as it is as the other half is a bit less than 2500

Edit:
ok armor is alu 10
it has some dsl bars as wheel gaurds,
and due to some beater bars it's now not completely useless if something rips the flipper off

(although it is pretty bad

)

You still are going to want to get it under that 2500 weight limit to be an effective multibot. I say go to Titanium 5, and build up to the weight limit.

Gah!

after adding lots more armor and downgrading to tit 5 theres 4.7 kg that i dont know what to do with!

In other news i can't think of anything more to build onto the other half
redstone compass

inside theres 4 npc fasts, with 4 vlads on them, lots of interior (as in inside the shell but outside the chassis) armor, a dual perm and enough ant batteries to power them
if you want a closer look you'll find that this is an updated version of mining complex a page or three back, ergo the insides are the same
armor is probably steel 10, ill check soon

If you are having trouble, add some ants or heavier skirts

Anyways, ADD MOAR WEAPONS or make it a multibot. Or make multiple shell and a SnS hybrid.

If it is a multibot, do not add multiple shell. Add weapons to the weight limit.
