It isn't narmour. I took off the titanium sheet to get a shot of the insides. Look at the pic on the right and you'll see what it actually looks like. I'm not sure about the batteries, either. I think it's minimum 7 to be fully powered because the BSGs take about 25 amps for full power. So that's five for the two BSGs plus two for the drive and one extra because it makes me feel better. I'll experiment with 6 to see how it performs, though.

Using the skirt hinge's weird collision mesh is narmour. You can see it in game by pressing F12.

I've been getting away with 5-6 batteries powering 2 bsg's on flippers and popups but a little more power never hurts.

Performs well so far and doesn't spaz out when turning like I've had bots of this type do. It's also remarkable controllable.

Very nice except for 1mm steel.  Put 1mm titanium on it instead or, if you can, 3mm plastic.

Got it. Managed to make the chassis a few pixels smaller and managed to stuff a blue CB in there. Now with plastic 3 armor.

DP. Although the CB's collision mesh is making the CB stick a little bit through the top of the bot.

TOPIC RESURRECTION

Bot is currently unnamed and not quite finished. I need to trim the chassis down a little bit, but I wanted to know if the design is sound. My testing has shown the wedges to be outstanding and the damage is good, but not great. It rights itself consistently and quickly as well. If this is a design worth pursuing then I'll clean it up and skin it.

Nicely done!

You don't need such heavy extenders for the plows, though. Aluminum extenders work fine since it's tough to get to those anyway.

You might want to use the curved hammer approach, though (sorta like Ham-mer Sandwich 2). And that approach also makes it easier to self-right. :D

Alright. That actually should give me the weight, with tightening up the chassis, lightening the extenders and messing with the weapon setup to add more weapons to the mix. Is my setup with the light DS teeth on the beater bars good? My thinking was that after the high DP teeth fell off the more durable beater bars would still be able to rack up the damage, even if it is less, without losing the weapon entirely.

Yeah, nothing wrong with that. If you still have weight left, you can upgrade some of the teeth to razors.
