3 spins = 3 ants.
1 spin motor = 1-2 ants, so 5 should just about fully power it
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

*sigh* You really need to go and find advice and ideas in other showcases in order to improve your building.

Also, newfags giving average quality advice.

5 ants is more than enough. I would put four on that one honestly. Three for power, one for additional battery longevity.

Apart from that, good bot.

Good ? Nope. This is at best below average for a VS.

It needs more total weapon weight and a stronger weapon motor. Less weight invested on the drive and on general extender work would be good as well.

Also, iron spikes are kinda bad for these.

I would give advice. But the advice would make it look like one of my VS, so, basically, go look at my showcase, I guess.

This is my first VS bot, don't expect it to be god quality. And look in other peoples showcases to improve? Lolno. Learning is best done by trying, and reciving advice, and using that advice to expand you abilities. I know not much in terms of VS. Instead just saying "That bot is bad, give up now" give recomondations. Tell me what I parts I need to swap. Irons bad? O.K. then, what parts should I use instead? Not only have you done this in my showcase multiple times, but others aswell.

I there somthing you don't like, tell me what needs to be done and I will gladly fix it.

If learning is best done by receiving advice, how do you explain how the precursors of the DSL realistic style (that includes me) learned ? By receiving advice ? Most certainly not !

Learning how to build is done by gathering data by yourself OR listening to advice, analyzing it and applying the conclusions to your bot building.

... Do you have any initiative or are you unable to learn anything entirely by yourself, instead relying on other's advice to go forward ?

I know not much in terms of VS.

Obviously, and that is why I am giving you advice by telling you to go watch other showcases. I partially learned stock by doing this. Craaig's would be the best exemple for VS.

Instead just saying "That bot is bad, give up now" give recomondations.

I have never said that you should give up and I have given four general recommendations, and one specific, and you complain about me not giving you recommendations ? Nonsense.

Tell me what I parts I need to swap. Irons bad? O.K. then, what parts should I use instead? Not only have you done this in my showcase multiple times, but others aswell.

I there somthing you don't like, tell me what needs to be done and I will gladly fix it.

I gave you general clues, so that you must think about it to change these general clues in specific advice custom-tailored for this bot. I have helped you for free, so don't complain about it and start thinking about how to apply that advice to your bot.

Honestly I'm tired of skilled people just giving precise advice on a silver plate so unskilled people can just pick it up automatically without any effort and not much thought from their part. And I have done it in the past, and I realize that is wrong, but that will end.

So now it is a guessing game? I understand you don't want to just give me things, so I have to work to become skilled, but cut me some slack. This the first time attepting a VS. You can't just tell give me "clues" so I can guesss at what to do and what not to do. You have to give somthing to at least work with. Like I said, I have never attempted a VS, so don't expect me to know the rights and wrongs.

1-It's not a guessing game, it's a matter of YOU finding the right advice BY YOURSELF.
2-I have absolutely no obligation to you but the ones I choose. That is, to teach you how to become a better builder. That you can do mostly by yourself, not by relying only on people's advice.
3-"Cut me some slack ?" You are seeking advice, i am giving you advice and you ask me this because you don't like it ? Do not test my patience !
4-Why are you, the student in all of this , trying to teach ME how to give advice ? Because you want easy advice ? That you're not gonna get from me.
5-What you seem not to understand is that you can learn the rights and wrongs by YOURSELF. Of course, it's easier to just absorb easy advice given by others. It's also the idiot's way.

I would recommend
- using stronger wheels, something of the Vlad, DSL, or Granny type (maybe even Hypnos, if you can manage it),
- cut down to about 6 or 7 ants,
- remove the wedge (it gets in the way when a bot is under it),
- swap the plows for some angled skirts,
- change out the baseplate extender for a Multiextender
- and rearrange the control board / batteries so that the weapon isn't cutting through them

Maybe work on the weapons, but I'm not exactly an expert on which weapons to use.

6 to 7 ants for 3 motors? How long have you been out Freez O.o

@Garv- Dude, chill. Use the advice that you've been given and showcase improvements. If you've done it wrong, then we'll help you go back into it. The best builders got good from interpreting vague advice, showcasing what became of it, recieving more advice, and generally improving the bot until its as good as can be, or close to it. Looking at other showcases also helps, even though it may sometimes lead to partial kloning. Getting everything handed to you on a platter isn't going to help your building skill much.

@Garv- Dude, chill.

I am not angry. When I typed those posts, I wasn't angry and they wern't negativley posted. Naryar might be getting a bit angry though, but I'm not sure.

1-It's not a guessing game, it's a matter of YOU finding the right advice BY YOURSELF.
Yes, I understand that.
2-I have absolutely no obligation to you but the ones I choose. That is, to teach you how to become a better builder. That you can do mostly by yourself, not by relying only on people's advice.
I understand that aswell.
3-"Cut me some slack ?" You are seeking advice, i am giving you advice and you ask me this because you don't like it ? Do not test my patience !
I am not "testing" your patience.
4-Why are you, the student in all of this , trying to teach ME how to give advice ? Because you want easy advice ? That you're not gonna get from me.
I do not want "easy" advice. I never have. I get the whole "Things cannot just be given to you" thing.  I was giving you advice on how to give better advice. I was telling you that you have to be nicer. Not so harsh from the getgo.
5-What you seem not to understand is that you can learn the rights and wrongs by YOURSELF. Of course, it's easier to just absorb easy advice given by others. It's also the idiot's way.
Where do you keep getting this "You don't understand that you can learn the rights and wrongs yourself" at? I have posted repeated times that I get it, and I always have got it.

This whole thing has become a problem. Maybe it is a sign that I should stay away from VS. Hopfully HS will prove opposite...

Ai,Oh! New bot.

Since VS didn't go well, I decided to with something more, in my comfort zone.

NPCF
9 ants
Titanium Skirts.
Titanium 1
4 flippers, 2 static wedges on bottom

Since I had extra weight, I thought about sticking a razor in between the two top flippers, so it could do damage. But with the Multi Extenders are defaultly at 90*. I want the Ex to be facing outward so I can stick a razor out. Any tips on how to make it easier to turn the ex?

Feedback welcomed.

why do you keep usingpussycat wheels?

You all want to know? ...fine

The reason I use them over hypnos is because, of the NPC rights and lefts. They never seem to work. Regular NPCs can be stuck way out of the bot, allowing for more space. NPC lefts and rights cannot do that. They won't stick out of the bot at all. Then I use NPC regulars and I choose Pussycats because... well I don't really know. I just like them.

NPC Lefts and Rights can easily stick out of the chassis, if you turn the correctly. Take a look at my Puncture series to see what I'm on about. All you have to do is line them up by eye, then you can get the better Hypno wheels on.

Speaking of, when you turn a component, it doesn't turn smoothly. If you pay close attention, you'll see that it "jumps". Each jump is an increment of 10 degrees, so all you need to do is watch for nine "jumps", and you'll have rotated the Multi Extender by 90 degrees.

Any other things I should try? Are 9 ants enough?
