I don't deny that stats are better, but my 4-bsg flippers get beaten by my small JX flippers almost every time
*cough* wedges *cough*
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Yeah, I figured that out thanks :P

Its just the amount of weight spent on flipper sheets/stabilisers, there isn't that much left to create a decent wedge

You argument about small JX's is that you don't need large ones, but I'm simply saying, if you can use large ones, use large ones as they have m ore power, therefore more chance of an early win.
EDIT: 3V=3IR has the same drive, wedges and flipper components as Enigma 21 but with large JXs and weight left for stabilisers.
Better than GK since 2009.

I do agree, power is a huge advantage, I just think large JXs are too much of a sacrafice

Plastic 3, if anything gets to the chassis you're screwed anyway.

Just trialling whether static weapons are better on a TRFBD:

Tests inconclusive so far, but I can't get the damn thing to work under AI - see AI thread.

Also, I made a random VS:

Tite 1, Perm 132 weapon motor. Inverts itself a bit too easily unfortunately.
My above post explains everything about everything.

Generally using flails means it can just sit on things and inflict more constant damage.

Non-flail weapons do more damage, but last shorter.

If you don't want flails, then you want pure concussion.

See the weapons being spinned are considered pure momentum because the entire chassis is spinning with it.  Try using 4x 30kg hammers.

That's a good idea.

Also, a new bot:

Plastic 3, 4 ants. Also astroflight drive, which I forgot to mention earlier.

DP:

I made a SHW Cluster version:

Tite 1, 4 ants. Unfortunately plagued by AGOD, and this makes it impossible to drive without tipping over. Also scraping realistic rules, as the back shows:

So meh.
