But when it goes up, a bot can fly right up the wedge and clip it right off, because it will take a while to retract because it is so long.

It will have only used the weapon to flip a bot over, so it'll detract before anything self-rights and turns to come up the wedge again.

But AI has a tendency to miss the target (Hence, it would fire, not hit the opponent, and get clipped)

I'm not liking the long extender either. It's fragile, de-powers your weapon and is generally useless.
