That is no flaw and it won't be changed. Nobody uses the 120 cm carbon fiber extenders anyway.

Rotate the DSL Bars, they have normals.

Doesn't looks bad... might be better if you keep just these 2 long bars and chain hammers like i did on Cataclysm and Ounce did on Crosswind.

Putting a hammer completely vertical on such a design (especally because you're using technos) isn't a good idea IMO.
