Though its basically the same formula nowadays. Dual perm, disc, one motor, 2 ants, small chassis etc. Weapons- flail razors or LBB's with small DS or razors.

*cough*My design*cough*

Anyways, I personally think static SS still have their place, but FOTEPX you need some bottom protection.

EDIT: Ideally more than one half-sheet.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Static is fine.  Not like shell spinners can sweep anything.

Static shell with enough bottom armor can still beat a wedge, and also de-weapon flail shell.

Doesn't static BB+razor beat flail razor? Unsure.

Yes it does, mainly due to weapon weight advantage.  Flail and extenders can easily weight up to 80+kg.

I'm assuming it has little/no sweeping power and is very exposed if flipped over.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Screw it being flipped over, with plastic one armour and no botton protection, it's screwed against any decent gutripper.....

....However....

You might have missed a trick with this setup FOTEPX, Use a solid disk, maybe even a size larger, and voila, bottom protection.

I believe the disk has a solid collision mesh.

TBH, i couldn't remember wether it did or not, i was talking about upgrading the disk to be stronger though anyway, coz it's gonna need all the hp you can get for obvious reasons.

Looks easy for popups and hammers to beat.

Hammers, not necessarily. Popups, yeah.

But this is a specialized anti-straight attack (rammers, classic pokers, HS, flails, SnS) bot anyways. It's going to fly against any good gut-ripper.

make a little corner so you can just mount the npc to the chassis directly.

I do like the idea of it.

Inspired by Series 3 of Robot Wars, Thyrus and a whole load of coke, I decided to make a realistic flipper design.
