The teeth on the front don't do much, but they look cool. I'd replace the wheels with Hypnos, personally. Or Technos.

without the ballasts, it lifts the front end up when the beta motor is fired, and ive tweaked it a little, and took some screenies.

Why doesnt Naryar like Ballasts, if theyre to keep the bot stable? its the whole point of them?

Ant batteries act as ballasts, are lighter and give extra power.

yeah, switched to Razor tips, I was actually getting around 40-80 if an bot was pressed up against them, with a bit of sideways movement, and ive gotten 100-ish in a ram (speed is alright with the NPC's, i cant remember if theyre fasts or not, though)

It turns ridiculously fast, and having switched to the spring beta motor, it really does lift the front end up when its fired....

1) Too much empty space
2) Bad wheel choice
    Good Wheel Choices:
    Hypnos,
    Technos,
    Vlads,
    WBCs,
    Wide Ant Wheels,
3) Is that a spring loaded beta? If so, its underpowered, needs 25 ants
4) Front spikes aren't much use
5) Use multi extenders instead of baseplate anchors (lighter & smaller)
6) Needs more hammers, or atleast a70kg one
7) Use door hinge wedges instead of skirt hinge ones
8) Don't use ballasts, EVER, if you really need ballast, use ant batts

1) Too much empty space Yes
2) Bad wheel choice Yes
    Good Wheel Choices:
    Hypnos,
Technos, These are best for this bot
    Vlads,
    WBCs,
    Wide Ant Wheels,
3) Is that a spring loaded beta? If so, its underpowered, needs 25 ants But 5 PCwhatevers are probably too much actually
4) Front spikes aren't much use but they help protect it, he could do with a weapon rack as armour
5) Use multi extenders instead of baseplate anchors (lighter & smaller) Yes
6) Needs more hammers, or atleast a70kg one Or many small weapons
7) Use door hinge wedges instead of skirt hinge ones Yes
8) Don't use ballasts, EVER, if you really need ballast, use ant batts Or weapons
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

right, ill probs stick some armour on the front then, either titanium halfplate, or something...

Cheers for all the Info, didnt realise Ant batteries actually affect balance, I knew the others didnt, from trying to use them as such...
I didnt realise multi extenders could be mounted on the baseplate, either...

Right, ill go stick the heaviest hammer possible onn.

Actually, strike the above, ill just rebuild it with that info in mind, heheh, cheers ;)

Expect more screenies of KaotiKa 2.0 ina bout half an hour :)

Dont stack batteries in DSL. Its asking for flaming.

If its a geared beta, it only needs one ant. If Spring loaded, what vertigo is said is true.

Im not brill at hammers, so lets let somebody else do the rest.

Right, ok, il unstack asap.

and yeah, its spring, so ill need a lot, which is why i was stacking. could use the space either side of the spring beta, though, tbh.

Ive got 17 ant bats, there... cant fit anymore, unfortunately...

A CO2 powered version would be sweet.....

I might try a crusher-style bot...

*dreams of Razor*

*EDIT*
Talking of Razor, the one in the DSL mod, is a mix of two versions, the Srimech was added at the same time as the front wedge was added, IIRC, and the wheels where changed, too....

It would be lighter to use 3 PC645s and two ants. (143 vs 162.5) Also a bot like that is going to be über fast without enough weapon.  Try 2 NPC fasts with technos and try to get enough power in the bot and if you have enough weight add more weapons or armor.

hmmm, k. I was using Ants because i needed to keep the front end down when the hammer fired, but i might just switch back to DSL Hammer 3, and use those bat configs, and a bit more armour...

Although theres still too much free space in the chassis, so that could be cut down, i guess. Only problem witht that is that it removes all the components. I wish there was a way to edit chassis size without removing the components, I wonder if theres a 3rd party tool that does that?

Unfortunately not. but with a bit of practice, it becomes a bit easier to guage how the components will lie in the chassis before you build it.

You don't need more than 2WD NPC Fast with techno wheels on a hammer.

You will also need a wedge, to prevent bots from getting under, and front protection, to protect from HS or rammers or etc.

EDIT: I do believe you can edit chassis size without removing components with bot file editing, but even I apostle of BFE don't know how to make it. ACAMS, Click or Madiaba might though.

123 just moved the baseplate points when the chassis is not built, but the baseplate imprint is. It's MUCH easier than changing an already-built chassis.

Hmm, righto.

Ill have a look at it.

Whats used to decompile the .bot?
or is it simply changed to .txt and opened with notepad?
