Interesting but kinda poor design.

Could of been invertible easily with a 6-mag gearbox (or the Tornado one) though you'd have to give up the second axle. But with a decent weapon you won't need it.

Looks overpowered. The extenders are vulnerable, too..

Just wait till inf sees this...

Also 20kg black batts suck (just compare their stats in the txt's to the others)

You'd also be MUCH better with your 6 claws on the black 100cm DSL disc rather than all that messy and heavier setup, and a stronger motor (Perm 132 would be the minimum, or even a six mag gearbox).

BBEANS DSL tournaments have realistic rules.. there's really no need not to build realistic bots in DSL because all the parts are more balance and you can add armor to the chassis :)

DSL was actually made to be realistic. Or the closer to realism the game's engine can achieve.

And yes most DSL tournaments do have a realistic rule.

So either you build totally unrealistic, you get flamed and you'll suck at the next DSL tourney, or either you get realistic and a better bot builder.

I have built a robot in real life, and boy is it fun! However, they are right. No one will respect or maybe even comment on DSL bots that do not follow the realsitic rule.
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

You can bet people will comment on unrealistic bots Urjak.

But it's all about what the comments are...

I like the 2nd version better since it has better weapon reach. Are the static wedges wedgy enough? :D
Clash Cubes 1 - Grey Matter (Runner-Up)
King of Karnage - Sideshow Freak (Runner-Up, Best Engineered)
Rust In Pieces - Paper Cut 3 (Grand Champion, Most Dangerous Bot)
Wheely Tag Tournament - Ion Thruster (Grand Champion, along with Ounces' DiSemboweLment)
UK vs USA - Dark Striker (Grand Champion)
Rust In Pieces 2 - Claymore (Runner-Up, Favourite Bot)
BBEANS 6 - Infection 4 (Runner-Up)
RA2 Team Championships - Serious Business, Skeksis (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, and Badnik)
RA2 Team Championships 2 - The Other Stig (Runner-Up, along with Scrappy, S_M, Badnik, 090901, and R1885)
Replica Wars 3 - Abaddon (Runner-Up, Luckiest Bot)
BroBots - wheebot & yaybot (Runner-Up)
Robo Zone 2 - Dipper (4th place, Survival Champion, & Best Axle Bot)

Not bad.

Will be better with less wedges but stronger ones (i'd get something like one 80cm aluminium sheet on a metal hinge and two 80cm aluminium sheets on a skirt hinge, similar to Urjak's last LW TS and my Torment), also these angled connectors waste weight and 3 batts will be enough for this.

Yeah, make the chassis connection on the side, and tilt an aluminium exender to make the wedge.
Put this onto your signature if you were part of this crappy fad in '03.

Not bad.

1st version's wedges are much better than 2nd's. Just dump the sheets on the middle of the hinges and get something tougher than plastic for the others.

And if they are knocked too easily just use a stronger material...

@S32: Nope. On a double wedge like that, static wedges will be not only heavier but less efficient than hinged ones.

See Hazcon.

I will try that but the reason why i used the multi extender was because the skirt hinge wouldnt go on....

@Doomkiller: Then I bet you can do that with snapper loading. You put the hinge, then glitch it out of position and put the Magmotor then.

@Weirdo: Too heavy for a LW.
