Ok, first of all this bot was inspired by this:

This one is pretty well armed but it's small for a SHW and can easily be flipped. To counter that i added side skirts operated by burst motors to upright it again but they don't always work. The 360 degree turret equipped with flame spike has proven to be a very useful weapon, crippling opponents enough to turn the tables in its favor.

>3mm titanium armor plus 360 degree moderate component armor provide decent protection
>Very good wedges plus the drums make it easy to get under bots and even flip them easily
>powerful armament

>Easily flippable
>The side skirts usefulness to upright the bot is limited and it's success rate is low

I thought in sharing the control panel. This is the 1st bot complex enough to fill the entire panel

It looks like a complete mess, but I really like it for some reason. If it was tidied up a little bit, then it would look even better, I think. Also don't overlap your wedges like that, it has a tendency to make them fail, I've found.

Design made because of my interest in the praying-mantis, an insect that fascinates me and I usually keep and take care of.

It was posted here just for looks. I think this bot looks a bit scary and intimidating but it's far from being battle effective. It's able to take down a few HWs, mostly those with same type of burst weapons or pushers but nothing more.
The lower burst motors work independently from the top ones. By activating the lower ones first followed by the top ones you achieve a very interesting drag effect of the over kill blades in a vertical grasping motion, pretty much like the insect it was inspired on.

>Accommodates 2 additional burst motors inside the chassis to upright the bot if flipped. They are 100% effective at its job.

>Poor agility
>Very wide
>Extremely fragile
>Able to clinch down the opponents with its arms but the weapons are not effective enough for fast destruction, meaning that the bot itself will most likely break apart before doing decent damage.
>Empty spaces
>Poor armor
>Uneven weight make it easy to tip forward when rammed

Yeah that's a lot of down sides. I think they are more though. Please name them if i forgot some, lol

I don't actually like it all that much. It looks far too spindly and flimsy to me. I imagine it's gonna be quite havoky with a burst-on-burst setup like that.

I was expecting some kind of glitch too with the bursts but in fact it works very smoothly. But due to superior weight at the front it will easily tip forward each time an opponent rams from the front. Actually that's something to add to the negative list.

I cannot criticize your comment because you're pretty much right. This bot is just so delicate and fragile looking. All characteristics of my inspiration.

I feel kinda bad criticising it, personally. Because I know it's supposed to look like that, I just don't particularly like bots that are held together by a bunch of flimsy-looking extenders. I'm sure there could be a way of building it with a more robust appearance. =)

The rule of 7 is quite annoying for the arms but i might be possible. However it wouldn't be a HW anymore
