@Conraaa: Ok, happy to do that. How do most people take battleshots? I do it the hard way by taking a screenshot of the thing by pressing Ctrl and Prt Scr and hoping to get a hit lol. I takes like 50 tries to get 1 good shot. Then i have to keep closing the program, copying it to paint, and seeing if it has a good hit. If it doesn't i have to start up the program again, and start all over lol.

Protip: Press F11 to get a screenshot and it creates a screenshots folder in the directory. You can also press pause and then F11 to get a shot if you want. This way you can keep paint and RA2 up. :P

I am impressed Pretzel, by following advice there you have built a NAR AI standard bot
And the advice was no problem at all, any time :D

Start key, but it can cause a glitch that makes components not attach.

Shouldn't really be much of an issue if you're taking battleshots though?

Just go to the test garage and back, and your problem is fixed :D

K I'm gonna sound like a HUGE n00b, but once you take the screenshot using F11, where does it save to in your RA2 folder? I'm sorry I asked such a stupid question but I'm new to battleshots

There should be a new folder called 'screenshots' in the RA2 directory. :)

Yah I must be doing something wrong because I searched my entire computer and no folders were found

How odd, bar being patronising and asking "Are you sure you're mashing F11", I have no ideas.

If you run Windows 7 I know that people have problems finding the screenshots. And you did good at taking advice, which is a crucial skill for any rookie.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

Good to see a new member who can take advice and run with it! Good job on the build.

I see you are registered for Motorama 2011. Here's a little inside tip to save you the cost of a parking pass. There is a autoshop on Maclay Street across the street from the main entrance of the Farmshow Complex. (It's next to a burger king) You can park there for 10$ and its a shorter walk than parking in the back and walking around to the other side.

Good luck there.

With the point about flails, you can have a few angled vertical rather than horizontal on the bottom layer to combat wedges.
Better than GK since 2009.
I think SM is a pretty cool guy, eh builds unicycle-bots and doesn't afraid of anything

Alright Ill fix that right now. It shouldn't affect the picture so I'm not gonna post a new one. Thanks a bunch to the following people for making this 100x better than it was. I'm delighted with the results.

Hey guys, I'm extremely happy to take advice from people with much more expirience than me, because you guys definitely know way more tricks than I do. So once again thanks for the advice, and I'm glad I understood it, and could follow it.

@SKBT: Oh that's great, thanks so much for the parking tip. Me and my dad were delighted to see that! This is our first time attending, so we won't really know our way around.  You are fighting in Motorama also right? If so, good luck, and looking forward to seeing you there. Thanks again

Ok this next bot is gonna need a lot of work becuase I know Piglets aren't used for drive, the chassis is huge, and it could be a lot better. The whole point of this bot is to be a strong, hard, durable, pusher that can be somewhat competitive. Any suggestions are great. Thanks guys!
