Not bad for a flipper but the widdle seems kind of exposed.

Maybe it's due to the angles of the stuff, and the axles being so close to each other that it doesn't havok.

Wedges are - and I know this from experience - HIDEOUSLY difficult to get right. There is no hard and fast way of getting a good wedge, it's something to do with weight distribution, it's something to do with ground glearance, it's something to do with what components you use, there are just so many variables that it's impossible to make a perfect wedge, and very difficult to make a decently combat-efficient one.

As for the bot, I'd suggest shrinking the chassis width-ways, and raising some of the ants up to mount them on top of one another. That'll save you a bit of weight for stronger flipper panels, plus shrinking the gap in the middle.

Same bot, smaller chassis, 5 ants, steel 3, to 100cm x 40cm panels on the motors. Motors are now on ME's. Works a lot better now for some reason!

Motor's on ME's?

No, no no.

Get those motors INSIDE the chassis.

I have to disagree with this. Flippers dispose of their opponents quickly, so the exposed-ness of the BSG's isn't so much of a worry. Protecting them would mean a larger, heavier chassis, and more of a target for the opponents to hit. What I would be concerned about is the relatively weak flipper panels, I would ideally try to get 40cm Angled Titanium sheets on it, or possibly 80cm Titanium sheets for a little more height.

Yeah, 40cm Titanium panels aren't worth it. 80cm ones might be worth it but they weigh a bit more than the shell panels for a bit more HP.

I'd lighten up the hinged wedges to get a bit of weight. Aluminium, or even polycarb might work in place of the heavier ones you have at the moment.

Mag drive would be nice as well. Maybe switch to one central wedge.

I really like the ideas! Well, the new ideas saved a ton of weight. The new issue is that its unrealistic since the flippers collide. Although this idea could be made IRL, it is unrealistic to DSL I think. Steel 3, 5 ants, and same everything else.

You really want 7 ants. Make the chassis bigger, downgrade the sheets and add the 2 extra ants. I'd say those flippers are DSL realistic because they could be either welded together of thinned a bit.

Try and get some Npc Normals or Fasts on there. You can use the space where the Slimbodies used to be to fill with ants.

Maybe a few cockroaches and beetles as well. Give 'em some soil, and you've got your own metal plantpot.

(Yeah I'm like ultra-bored)

Larger Chassis, 7 ants, and titanium wedge and flippers. I think the armor is still steel 3. If not, it was digressed back to aluminum 3 when I made a new chassis.

Those look like Aluminium flippers to me. I'd try to get titanium flippers on that, and maybe drop to Plastic 3, it's much more efficient weight-wise than aluminium or steel.

My bad NFX, will change that. I don't like this one as much since I barely get any OOTA's. It flips great, but not in the right directions. It also stands up on its back very frequently when I use the flipper. It's nearly impossible to get back on the ground so that I can drive.

Have your motors external and try and get mag motors on (or something else, i just use mags because they can also be used as a stabilizer at the back)

Might have to downgrade the wheels if you have no weight.
DSL Showcase
is this bot don't lost all razors in a fight before do a damage thought

Mags come off easy though. Don't make them too exposed.

Not the S-shaped Mags. They have greater HP than other Mags, IIRC. They also give you a wider stance and improved turning and stability for no extra weight.

Hey everyone! After a long hiatus from the forums, I'm back with a robot that is supposed to be IRL realistic. (for a tournament) I realize that there are no weapon supports and for the tournament I'm entering, I cannot use the titanium sheet. Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks incredibly similar to the BB7 HW winner. Anyways, a Multi-extender with a flipper maker would be more efficient. On the rule-of-cool aspect of things, the Morse-Code Breaker wedges ruin the look of the bot to be honest.
