Oh ok. Just curious, how is mine unrealistic when your dsl bar passes through the wheels and the chassis? Not trying to talk smack or anything, it's a honest question.

Because i messed up XD

I could easily raise the bar up so it doesn't intersect the wheels.

And with mine it doesn't need a stabilizer [/moreshamelessplug]

Well my first MW post. The bot that failed in the 2 Legit 2 Quit Tourney. Please help me! aluminum 3, 2 ants, npc fasts, techno wheels, can't move upside down, um 120 cm angled titanium pannels on hinges for the front wedge. (The cursor is the front) Plenty of weight left over, and help would be greatly appreciated.

Haha that's too funny? Where is it? Can I have the link? I wanna see that! I wonder if they copied or if it was coincidental. Any advice on Ramp To Heaven?

You could use the remaining weight to change a couple of the skirts from titanium to steel, and using Wheely Big Cheese wheels can help with the invertibility issues.

Judging by how it did in 2L2Q, you'll probably need a steeper slope on the wedge in order to consistently force your opponents out of the arena.

This is really the best I can do as I haven't experimented with this type of design.

The position of the skirt hinges wont let me have bigger wheels than technos. I could move the top skirt hinge back, but then there would be a lot of exposed chassis.

Try and get some weapons on if you can and change the wheels if it can't go upside down.
Angle the top sheet forwards a little and see if it helps with ootas

I need help with something other than a Lightweight bot for once! All 9 of these bots almost always Havok at some point during the battle. I am running DSL 2.1 normal AI. Is havoking avoidable? Anyway, help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Skirt hinges loaded with stuff=Havok Prone
Small motors with weapons on=Chicken Glitch=Havok prone

I imagine it would be the small chassis and the skirt/metal hinge or spinning things. If they spin too quickly, they glitch out of their axle slots, and your robot havoks. Try to get a larger chassis so your robot doesn't havok as much (You could use weaker armour to achieve this), use less weight on the hinges, and try to slow the spinning weaponry down somehow. Either by adding weight or using a weaker motor.

Nary, it's an old bot that I just used for an example to show which bots havok. Any other advice other than what's been said already?

I've noticed that bots with drive motors mounted externally havok a lot less than internal motors.

Finally got NAR AI! So happy! Anyway, here's my first decent LW flipper. 5 ants, hypnos, titanium 3 armor, and 20 100cm x 40cm black panels for the flipping. The motors do not intersect with the wheels, making it realistic. The wedges are this bots main issue.

Mount the BSGs statically on multi extenders, the skirt hinge in a havok bomb waiting to happen.

Surprisingly, I've fought 50+ fights with this thing so far and it has NEVER havoked. I'll still change it though. Anything else? The wedges don't get under too much on NAR AI, even though most bots have the same wedge setup :/
