Well this is my first Bot posted. I am a huge RA2 DSL fan and player, but really only make bots. I still ABSOLUTELY need to learn how to AI bots and Import arenas into the game. So here is one of my lightweight bots "Death Rainbow" (I need a better name, suggestions please). I have over 100 lightweight bots made and want to have a tournament but I don't know how to AI

Ill get there though. Please comment and help me make it a better bot.

Welcome to the forums!

Firstly, use razors on shell spinners, mounted on flails preferably
Weapon motor is overkill for a LW, a mag would be OK
Get rid of the extender, its doing nothing, and it makes the bot unrealistic
Astro+Ant wheel drive would be better, drive is overkill for a SS ATM
Try and use the blue control board whenever possible

@Vertigo: Oh geez, sounds like I need a lot of work. I know you and Badnik96 are WAY more advanced than me at making bots, so thanks so much for the advice. I will put in the lighter Control Board, but all of the things you suggested seems like it would knock off a bunch of weight. Where would you put that extra weight? The weapon maybe? And to me the razors don't extend far enough, and they fall off too easily. I like these since they have a longer reach. I use the extender to see which way the bot moves, but it is unrealistic. Any way of putting in a realistic guide? I hope I don't sound like a n00b, and I'm not arguing I'm just telling you what I think.

@Badnik96: I've always had trouble shrinking the chasis, but I'll try my best.

Razors are generally favoured because of their hideously high dp. And putting them on flails increases their effect iirc.
Loving the colour scheme though :D

Yes, you are correct

Pretzel, razors are easily the best weapons for a shell spinner, and putting them on flails increases their power

So yes with the free weight, as Nary would say, MOAR RAZORS! :P

but if you think, light ds teeth are 3 kg more for double (ish) the dp of razorz. (for 2 of them)

@Vetrigo: Ok, so I'll make a new one with 4 or 8 razors on flails. I'll put in the blue CB and since it's not invertable as it is, I'll go with smaller wheels and motors.

Flail razors are best for shell spinners due to the fact they 'scrape' along the opponent, causing even moar damage. I'm normally against flails due to havok bombs. xD

Alright. Trapezoid chassis, 2 Astrofights, 2 Ant Wheels, 4 Ant Batteries, Blue CB, Right Mag. Motor, and 100CM disc with 3cm pannels on each side. Weighs 173.9KG with no weapons. look at the pic. And no, the ant batteries DON'T overlap, they are right next to each other.

Remove 1 ants, LWs only need 1 per spin motor.
If you want to be really advanced, a T-Shaped chassis is better. (Or even something like my bloated L-Shaped one)
What armour is it? (Try Tit 1)
