It's an annoying problem, maybe there is a ai which spins up the weapon slower and gradually? If there is I haven't heard of it.
And yeah, I name robots after music i've been listening to at the time. I've been listening to a lot of TMBG lately. :P

But yeah, I have entered an updated version of Ion for Steel Warzone.

I'm impressed you managed to get a pair of 6-mags on there, but only one wheel drive? Well, it could work, there's every chance...

I haven't tried to AI it yet, so there's every chance it could be terrible :P
Time for a plan b though, I went for that design because I knew I could make it unrealistic. And entering a realistic bot seems like a bit of a missed opportunity in this one.

*Oh and they were tornado mer mag gearboxes, so 4-mags :P

Yes, it is a clamperl. Use your imagination.
I think armouring it in sledge hammers to give the shell a bit of shape is a fair trade off for hideous ground clearance and no way for it to self right.

Nope, no spinning. I would wire the top shell to a bsg but it would just slam shut the first time and not open again.
...which actually might work well.

Relatively happy with how it came out. The disc in the middle is supposed to be blue I swear.
And I have no idea what happened with the sledgehammers. Trying to fix them now.

It's unrealistic in the sense that the razors just clip the wheels. If you look closely. And at the right angle.

Just tried it out against Second Sentinel and it can still move!
I'm still trying to figure out which way to wire this thing to make it most effective.
