North Poler's S3 on crack... but much better than your previous VS's.

Is that somewhat good in combat ?

Yeah, it's getting some damn good hits.
It tips a bit but it does it with such majesty that I quite like it.
Even if it does, the disc is ALWAYS there and it ALWAYS lands on its wheels.
I love it :D

EDIT: Even beat pon2n with it. Yay.

Looks very awesome. However, it needs a stronger disc. Remove the rear spike strips to see if you can up the disc strength a bit. If it doesn't, try playing around a bit and you'll find the necessary weight eventually.

^^yup.

Oh and i forgot to mention that bear claws only do damage with the front of the claws... so if they got hit from the side it's more likely they'll do less damage.

Use some weapons without normals - more hammers maybe.

I hope the "core" is really heavily armored, or someone with a hammer or VS will just take out your control board and ignore all your massive armor...
Avoid the beam and you won't get hit!

I played around with it and not a lot was happenin' so i entered it. and the chassis itself is pretty strong - it was either titanium 10 or steel 5.

If it's still not right, it'll just be better cannon fodder for all you other guys :P

Eh, I made a walker. Really kinda sucks, but it moves, and has a weapon.
The actuators are in case the legs get stuck on the back side of the bot.
Been trying to make more complex ones for ages, but this has worked best.

If I improve the weapon too much, it weighs the bot down and it won't budge, lol.

EDIT: and I know, the skin sucks, and walkers have probably been done before, and it's probably not a walker but some jumpy thing, and the weapon sucks, etcetc

New bot.
I've taken to building flippers lately.
This one has either has Aluminium or Titanium 5.
Only issue I have with it is the empty space.
The steel plate under the flipping arm(s) not only acts as a decent wedge, but keeps the bot from front flipping when throwing things into the air.
I included a quick shot of the big wheel coming down, although in the combat arena it has sent bots like WIIDE LOAD off the screen (upwards) for in excess of 5 seconds.

I had a thought ... in RA2 will proper walker robots receive 1.5x the weight (in other words a heavyweight will be 1200kg) ??

also on the flipper maybe take away a few snappers and increase battery's (and decrease empty space :P) the more power you have to more powerful your snappers are

Even if they get 1.5x the weight, making a walker is super hard and use more than 400kg on the components (IDK, Maybe not), And also... Their "Legs" would be super vulnarable :P

I've tried all sorts of different methods to make them - it's difficult to get it right - and the game doesn't allow for the extra weight, although I could with an anti-ballast of course. I seem to recall the community isn't so fond of SHW's though?

I know its kinda nit-picky, but try to line up the flippers at the starting position. It just looks a hole lot less messy IMO.
I built that big robot on that TV show that time

I have tried, but it's a bit difficult cos some of them are different ways around, etc.

I just realised I've made another version of that since I posted that. And I practically ignored what Joe said and added another snapper. It's also now compatible with the regulations for R1885's tournament.
It's a pure flipper (no other weapons... lol) and it has 10 battlepacks.
At least the space management is alright!

Get tornado wheels (= moar grip = moar speed for less weight), and it's still underpowered.

Better than the first though.

EDIT: i think you don't need the titanium extenders as well, and can attach the steel skirts directly to the snappers, saving even more weight.

EDIT2: and use a blue control board!

EDIT3: you can add 2 red batteries then and it'll be alright.
