3ish Months later...
...ANYONE GOT A COMMENT ABOUT MY BOT?
-
reactions are not always posted.
Tis cool.
Looks great for tabletops. Could use a better name though. I like "Open Wide" better than "Open Jaws of Doom".
-
I already made a stock bot called 'Open Wide' maybe i'll make the second version with DSL
And i love the RFS AI Pack
-
Now something basic:

-
Woah, thats a lot of bots. Nice job. What are the weapons on Streak 6?
-
Looks like it would be a popup.
-
Co2 powered spikes that shoot out, like Dino V's bot
-
and an update to Streak 6, now is Evil Streak:

-
The old one looks better.
-
Nice bots. Suggestion for Evil Streak: replace the YU hammers with the other 25kg hammers. They are more durable and more powerful than the YU hammers that are available to the player.
-
I used the AI's Y-hammers,and i done a err... Big boost in power with the t-minus flipper, Try it yourself, i edited it because DSL team are making somthing new anyway:
name = t-Minus Snapper Motor
preview = tminussnapper_preview.bmp
dir = tminussnapper
model = tminussnapper.gmf
type = mechanics
base = BurstMotor
master = bmotor_body
passthru = axle_collision
styles = Default
description = High Pressure t-minus flipper
elecMaxInOutRate = -450
burst = 1 30 490
power = 10 490
sort = 11
mass = 45
firesound = sounds\longpneumatic2.wav
attachsound = sounds\cmp_generic.wav
standard = 1
and a new devil to the list, its called 'Hyperdiscive'

SOMEONE COMMENT PLEASE!?
-
Didn't see that you edited that post. Nice bot, looks pretty nasty, but it looks like some bots could easily get around to the side of your disk where you can't get a good solid hit on them. If you look at my Abomination bots, you will notice I used snowplows or angled skirts to make it so the only part of my disk that can be hit is the edge. If you use something taller and wider than a small wedge that bot will be a lot better. But it will also be less original I suppose.

A question: Do you have trouble turning with that vert? I have serious trouble with mine, though I think it has something to do with the motors I use for the spinner...
Hey Click, does centrifugal/gyroscopic force work on lateral motion in RA2? From my experience it does, but that might be because of my drive.
-
Yeh, I think coz of the Heavy Disk pulling the body with its swinging weight.
Its best to use Slow Motors for Missive heavy Spinners like mine, so it doesnt capside
-
Gyroscopic precession does work in RA2. I'm surprised you didn't figure that out before, with all your giant vertical spinners.
What weight is Evil Streak, and what armor? If it's LW, then it's not bad.
-
Evil Streak is 302.3kg crap armour on most of my bots though :(
-
Well you've got 100 extra kgs... use it to upgrade your armor!
-
It becomes a heavyweight when I add the Steel 10mm Armour
-
But if you don't click on the armor tab, you've got DSA armor, which weighs a lot less ......
-
well anyway I'm Having to Rebuild, Maybe a small disk instead of a pop-up
-
But if you don't click on the armor tab, you've got DSA armor, which weighs a lot less ......
DS aluminum works in DSL too? I thought it didn't because of the diffrent armours, but I'm new to DSL so I was most likely wong. It's probly not stronger tanh 10 or 15mm steel though.
-
DS Al is the same in DSL as in stock RA2; it's impossible to edit. Meaning it has 200 strength. So you're a lot better off with the DSL-ized 3mm Al, which weighs the same and has 600 strength.
-
Ah, okay. Thank you, Click, I haven't messed around with DSL enough to remember that .... mostly been on an all-stock kick lately .....
