Something that I found out about shell spinners: It seems that stationary weapon shell spinners pwn flail shell spinners.

Roughly. Most bots with high-piercing weapons (aka razors, be it a wammer or a shell spinner) out-weapon razor flail shell spinners.

Was it in the Stormbreakers team? I remember that having like 24 static razors :P

Stormraiders - but does Ball Lightning really has 24 razors ?

Yes but flail spinners do much better against popups.

^^ Depends of the design really... i have a few popups that absolutely rape most shell spinners - HnM 4 notably.

I am not really sure it is worth the mobility loss to use copals. Any shell spinner built with them is nearly immobile. And my 12 razor Stanley 4 loses to Schadenfreude. 10 razor Stanley 2 wins.

Trust me I tried. I tried so many variants of Flail SnS, SnS/HS Hybrids, and everything of the sort. LW SnSs do not seem to be able to have the weapons, or the rotational speed in some cases, to be that effective.

Just realized that I did have a setup for quick turning speed, and I never tried one with static weapons...
And its too late at night to build it (I is in need of some serious sleep)

you know what puzzles me? you are normally a creative builder but in the last 2 BBEANS gone for a generic option ?

I just really want to win in BBEANS. I wasn't that happy in BBEANS 4 (even though I had no right at all to win any matches with Ripterra) because I didn't win anything. I wasn't very happy in BBEANS 5 either, where Chernobyl only won one match, yet its done so well in all of those 128-bot tourneys. And I'm gonna be freaking pissed if Stanley wins zero or one match in BBEANS 6.

I do know from experience it's hard to build a good LW side hammer, but this needs front armor if you want it to survive.
