Ok so this will be my bot for the SHW section of BattleBots 3

If you can't make out from the splash it's a crappy, Ziggy style forward-firing flipper (If you don't know what Ziggy looks like check this out )

Help appreciated

I like the covered-in-spikes look of that bot.

It's not powerful enough for a SHW, though. 4-bar lifters in general aren't very effective in RA2. If you insist on a Ziggy-style flipper, you'll probably need a Beta burst in there to get any results.

Yea testing showed that it was quite weak, but trying to do one with 2 beta burst's would be a nightmare (To me anyway)

I may not use that, and instead resort to something totally different, but that's only if i can manage to make another SHW in time.

Then add another burst on it.

I also suggest you make it 2WD with Etek/Techno drive.

And i've already stated, it will only be my entry to Battlebots 3 if i don't get another SHW built in time, which reminds me i should probably edit the post with the bot in it to say that.

Nope my bot is a "walker" so weighs 1600kg.

We've got a VS, a claw and an HS so far. Maybe a drum or a rammer?

I think ill attempt a rammer seeing as i suck at drum's.

With a little modification you could turn Hedgehog into a rammer, you basically have a strong box, a few changes would save you having to redo a whole new bot.

Put the hexplates on flails and remove the DSL bars.

The first attempt at building this implemented flails and it gave it an unholy amount of havoking. Might try them again though, always worth a shot i guess.

I made a bot just like this a few days ago ( shameless plug ):

I had to downgrade to mini wheels but it reduced havoking by alot because of the reduced speed and if you're going to put the razors on flails i reccomend using a similar weapon setup to mine as the razors on the outside of the disc don't do much other than eat up extra weight

I had originally planned on Vlads on NPC's but have the NPCs attached to the actual disks but i couldnt attach the wheels then so i changed to what i have now, i will try out your weapon setup though so thanks for letting me see that...

Woah its been a few days since i last posted here eh?

Stumbled across RA2 on my derelict, broken PC the other day and thought i'd boot it up and see if i could make something for gits and shiggles.
Attempted a semi-IRL styled bot (Not actually IRL cause bar cuts through motors) in DSL 3 and safe to say it didnt go all too well

3 Ant Batts, Ti 5 (Or Alu 5, cant remember), the rest is visible.

By no means a good bot but not my worst, especially for my first attempt in around 2 years

etek is kinda overdoing it but it can work...
