Title: Your favorite robot from the game but not yours.
Post by: RpJk on July 21, 2011, 04:16:34 PM: I was wondering what is you favorite robot from the game but not yours so It can mean DSL or Stock, It can be from anyones showcasesor an AI pack so what is your favorite. :laughing

Post by: RpJk on July 21, 2011, 04:24:22 PM: I am always fond of Sonny's Replicas alot and it was actually one of the ways I was lead here as well as trying to find another copy of RA2 but from my view the builders I like the robots the most are actually NFX's and Clickbeetles robots which are amazing especially NFX's Altitude series and Clickbeetles Sacrifice series.

It's wierd, because I'm just starting to get some of the newcomers liking my stuff, but the Altitude robots really did suck. I still think the first version was pretty cool, I might take that over to ARC with its amusing lifting arm. =D

Personally, I've always been a fan of compact robots, I don't like stuff such as Mako that look really flimsy and fragile. DSL Rammers and Stock HS are my personal favourites, I'd have to say, but I can't really put my finger on any one bot that I would say was my favourite. Marty's entry in Pot Luck is very good, though. That's the sort of bot I like in DSL. =D

Top Center bot was what inspired me to make the first Bane (and thus my first FSS), and the rest, you could say, is history. :smile:

Thyrus for his "IRL style" builds and sonny for his amazing reps which brought me here in the first place.
There are other builders of course that I admire, but those are the ones that spring most immediately to my mind.

There was a guy who did (rather bad imho) re-makes of the original DSL/stock ai in DSL

Considering it can't be one of mine, that has to be the most awesome RA2 bot ever, just for enhancing the awesome created in real life :gawe:

More like the fact he's just a box, which means no wedges (I HATE YOU DEVIL) to try and get under. But yeah, partly that.

I'm an RA2 purist who doesn't like building anything that can DESTROY the likes of EMERGENCY. I like my robots clean and realistic to an amateur's robot war show, which is why I HATE YOU DEVIL.

I personally think stock is more realistic for a basic show, not an UBER ADVANCED ULTRA SHOW

I like it's concept, and the way it was built, but when you battle it head on.... It just auto-dies.

Metal Friend and Dementia have the strange issue of not actually using their motors or bursts assigned to their weapons when in a battle.
