Post by: brian74 on August 27, 2014, 10:59:19 PM: I found RA2 back around 2002. It was a bad ass concept. I messed around with it for awhile, and then gave up on it because it was buggy and it didn't seem to have much going on. I was bored last week, so I found it again. Never had any idea it eventually gained such a following, though sadly much of that following seems to have disappeared. Kicking myself now because I would have had fun over that time instead of wasting money on iRacing & FSX. RA2 is truly ahead of its time for what it is.

I've read through the forums the last few evenings to figure out python enough to adjust the scripts for the bots I've created. I've worked with object-oriented programming before.

I'm currently running DSL2.1, but I've downloaded a few AI scripts to compare.

Curious as to where this community is nowadays tournament wise, and what versions/add one everyone is using (legally) for tournament designs. I would love to get involved in some tournaments if there are any still going. No serious bots yet, but I did create a couple of spinners that look like helicopters. Pardon me if I seem a little non RTFF; So far I have just been in the forums enough searching to figure out the AI stuff.
