Summer '07 for me as well. I was on a hiatus for a while because my life got insanely complicated for some time. It still is pretty complex, but i can build a bot every now and then.

I'm really glad that psycolone does not have the avatar of the kid eating cereal anymore... Dang... seeing that animated gif was creepy and transfixing in a weird way.

I had a thing for searching for anything robotic (I was still hoping for battlebots to come back and wanted something in between).
Found this game in Early 08 and bought it a bit later
Trolled the forums a bunch, mostly on the bot exchange. Left for a LONG time because I was afraid I would get in trouble because I edited the info on a bot on the bot exchange.

The bot was some crapass rammer, and the info was editable. someone had written "I AM A FAGGOT", and stuff like that, so I changed it.

When I came back I searched every corner of the site looking for it.

I was in the Chatterbox as Somebody and asked 3 times to no avail.
I finally PUT IT IN ALL CAPS and got an answer, with some flaming.
I joined the forums very soon after.

RS, you joined the official forums as R0B0SH4RK like a day after I joined right after bbeans 3 videos were coming out.

Yeah, my first account was "roboshark" with no numbers or caps, but then I got bored for a while when I downloaded Firebeetle's component pack and everything got easy with cheat parts. I re-installed RA2 later on a newer computer and remembered how much I liked it, so I re-joined the forums around the same time as you with a new account because I forgot the password to my old one.

I really don't remember BBEANS 3 at all though...

Well, I just checked the web archive, and my first join date was August 20, 2006, so SD's right. The confusing thing is, the page it was on is from March 2005 :|

Got the game right when it came out. Even played some RA1 for a while and I still remember the hilariously bad tech demo with the yellow bot and the nightmare clone.

i think we should mod that tech demo. just decompile the .txt so you can see all the parameters then make another bot in 3dsmax5 with those params.

Yellow Buzzard was its name. While the demo was a bit awful, I liked the arena.

Were you around for the RA1 with physics demo? It had a bot with the hidden forklift component and I think the other one was just a simple wedge. I wish I could remember where to find that.

I remember playing the demo,I was so horrible at it when it came to driving.I remember using C.R.U.S.H. on the clawtop,right when the fight started I drove off the edge and lost.I bought the game a few minutes later off atari.com.Added some bots on the bot exchange (the only good bot I added was Indefatigable (not a replica)).

I found this game at some site (I forgot what that was) on Feb. 15, 2009 and downloaded it. I searched the game with Google and this site came out. I joined a day later.

My friend , Steven, downloads Games of the internet all the time, showed me this 1 and i got interested, at the begining of this year. Steven then got a mod and i wanted it show i shearched for mods and this forum popped up. also got toribash, Maplestory, war rock, Unrela tournament and he is now trying to get battle engine aquila on the pc. for free.
