Post the one bot you're most proud of, in any version of RA2, from any time. No sh**posterino please.

The reason I am so proud of this one is because this robot is actually one of the robot I have built in RWRA2:
And this is my best machine in that mod. But I always wanted to bring it to DSL, so I recreated it, and it looks honestly even better than the original

Could have posted Carbonize or it's SHW/UHW version and felt proud, but this was the biggest and best bot I made pre-IRL packs.

actually thought about doing a topic like this

this is nowhere near the best bot I've made (due to ra2 physics- aka no wedge) but it's easily my favorite and I'd bet I've spent more time on it than any other. It's been through so many iterations where I've tweaked it trying to make it as good as it can be and honestly, I can't think of another way to improve it. It's kind of my magnum opus in a way. Even if it's not the best (ie a gutripper  :dumb)) it's still friggin tough and holds its own for a long time against most bots even if it cant beat them. De-weapons almost anything that isn't burst damage.

It also kinda saved my sanity in summer 2015 where I was sick of art from school and needed SOME kind of creative outlet. ra2 was my baby then and this was the posterchild (2015 builder of the year as a result ) It was actually the first ironforge bot I showcased. (https://gametechmods.com/forums/index.php?topic=17882.msg680673#msg680673)

I also have a version that is for when I play on LAN, downgrading the weapon and armor a tiny bit in favor of stronger drive. It's so good in 'pvp' when I get to use it cause wedges aren't as effective there. Super fast and it's easy to pin other bots with, it's a real shame online play isn't viable.

one day I'll need to actually do a good skin

Combatwise, it's not very good.  But it just sticks out to me.

My Dec. 2011 BOTM entry was one of the craziest I remember doing, it was the same year I joined the forums and everything was with snapper loading and no Ro7 break

Most of my bots are pretty bland compared to some of the crazy stuff in here. Of them I'm probably most proud of Cascade. I'm not really sure why I just really like how it all fits together and looks as a package:

(https://gametechmods.com/uploads/images/42364Cascade Ext Alt.jpg)

My most recent bot comes pretty close in terms of bots I'm most proud of. It's probably one of the few bots I've ever built where the end result ended up looking exactly like what I had planned out in my head.:

This bot is inspired by supremo drone (my favorite robot when I watched sword of glory, It may loose on robogames but it won my heart

Doot called this bot his favorite since its so well-crafted, flaze 4 will crush its face but I love it a lot

The most unluckiest bot I have to date, gets rejected to  every tournament so far, but this is destructive, If its accepted to robogames this will sweep everyone.

Vertigo was my first DSL 2.2 robot, and I've refined the design so much since then. I'm immensely proud of the current version.

Similarly, I'm very proud of Jungle Fever after the reception it got during LvD, despite being a Tombklone.

And we can't forget this classic! Outdated now but still one of my most well-liked robots for some reason.

Gotta be Thumperizer (https://wiki.gametechmods.com/index.php?title=Tha_Thumperizer). I stand by my claim that I've never built anything better in the 14 years it's been since I built it in RA2. One of these days I'm going to make a real life version too.

It had a better skin at a later point in its life, I'll see if I can dig around for something better.

(Edit: but I think someone said something about importing larger texture sizes on your showcase).

Still a very cool robot.

Trollestia 2. A stock hw bot that I entered in Clickbeetle's Ironbot tournament, that did way better than I expected it too.
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]

20% Cooler in 10 Seconds Flat. A DSL 2.1 biohazard style hw that I entered in the 1st and 3rd seasons of freeziez's Battlebots tournaments, while it was not successful in fights, it was one of my favorite bots to build back then. The version in this picture was of a reskin of the bot that I did a couple of months ago.

Now days it has to be either these three.

I-95 - Probably the closets I'll ever get to a perfect combination of organic and mechanical look. Imo this really is the most creature like bot I think I could do.
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]

Fission or Fissao - Probably the most compact and currently my favourite all time in terms of bot creation. All steel and titanium and Im super impressed of how menacing I made it look
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]

Xeniii - Lastly is my most successful bot, Xeniii, super unique design, and a homage to my favourite bot Barberous 2 n a bit. Happy to have made this

Looking through my old library of bots, the bot I'd be most proud of would be one of my MW popups, Etro's Champion:
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]
Another one would be my Thumpernail LW VS series:
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]
Lastly would be the one I wished I had entered in a tournament: Cherry Blossom Murder Season.
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]
It is also the last bot I have built so about 3 and a half years back.

Opening up this can of worms again.

FlatLine 2 is now the most compact thing I've made in recent memory. Fast drive, solid wedge and looks great.

Fissure 2, such an upgrade from the first one and I really love me an Ice-Wave bot, looks clean af too.

The new Fission, an improvement on the first.

stock: tie between lilapsophobia and knitrous nives. lilapsophobia because its really damn good and nitrous knives because it's at least semi-original for a stock mw

dsl-s: final z, no contest

dsl-irl: swarf, because dustpan saws are hard and i got mine to work insanely well at the lw level

ironforge: six feet under. for my first irl-s bot in ages it's kicking ass so far in gtmcs, and i really love the skin work i put into it

Hmm. I kinda have a bot I'm most proud of, and then a different "favourite" bot that I've built.

Bot I'm proudest of would probably be Astra. It just fit together pretty much perfectly and has a pretty unique look to it for a fairly common design of a rear hinged flipper.

[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]

My favourite bot I've built though is definitely Sabre IV. I love how sleek it came out and even if it's not the most optimal design in the world I like how unique it is and the fact it's actually proven to be somewhat effective in combat is just a bonus.

[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]

They're both fairly simple designs, though I'd prefer to call them "clean" myself, but I like that about them. I'm not really a fan of the fairly recent trend of covering bots in a million bits and bobs to try to make them more interesting. Less is more in my book (To a point, obviously)

Decided to post three of my favorite bots I have made now

Seed Killer Gen II
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]
One of my newer, but good looking builds. But I have to admit that the side, and particularly top are messy. Little I can do about then though. However, I'm very proud of how the bot panned out in the end. It looks beautiful. Also helps that it's a major improvement, both in aesthetic and performance (despite being untested, but I believe the hinged wedgelets and stronger armor will help) compared to first version.

HexaVortex Gen II
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]
Not effective because it uses a 6mag for a shell spinner. I do, however, love how beautiful this thing looks. I'm proud of my work on the shell, particularly the top part, as well as the lowness of the bot. Gives it a pretty sleek look. Also, I'm proud of the aesthetic change when compared to the first version too

OverChopper Gen II
[ This attachment cannot be displayed inline in 'Print Page' view ]
Old photo because I'm too lazy to take a pic of the new one. The only difference is that I changed the color on the center part of the bar to match with the rest of the bar. I'm honestly proud of it. Looks sleek and clean for an overhead imo. It helps that it's also a huge aesthetic improvement from the original OverChopper

DSL2.2 Complete Edition. Some bots here have custom skinned components though where people have made their own textures for stuff.
