I was wondering for a bit about this weightclass. Why don't we call it Light Heavyweight like in boxing or MMA?

And why isn't it listed in The Official Weightclass guide by Sage?

Because cruiserweight in inbetween Light Heavyweight and Heavyweight. One assumes that as 600kg is perched inbetween 400 and 800, that's where it comes from.

One would assume 500kg.

Which is just kinda dumb.

Well. I was I gonna say im gonna build one but I already accidentally built one

Because the concept of Cruiserweight didn't become popular until after that guide was written if I remember correctly.

Joe was the first to plan a CW tourney, but I was the first to run one.

Light Heavyweight sounds really dumb in my opinion, kinda just implies middleweight to those who have no idea about these things such as myself. I'm 90% sure when it was proposed a few years back the person who named it, I believe Joe, shared a reason.

Plus, if you applied that to other weightclasses, you'd have light lightweight (BW) or even lighter lightweight (AW).
Or maybe that's just me being silly, idk.

this should cover your needs.

for me it's:

Fleaweight (FLW) = 100kgs
Antweight (AW) = 125 kgs
Beetleweight (BW) = 175 kgs
Featherweight (FW) = 200 kgs
Lightweight (LW) = 249 kgs
Middleweight (MW) = 399 kgs
Cruiserweight (CW) = 600kgs
Heavyweight (HW) = 800 kgs
SuperHeavyweight (SHW) = 1200 kgs
UltraHeavyweight (UHW) = 5000kgs

this way you get:

Lightweight classes:                         Heavyweight classes:

Insane Lightweight: FLW              Insane Heavyweight: UHW
Extreme Lightweight: AW             Extreme Heavyweight: SHW
Lighter Lightweight: BW                Lighter Heavyweight:MW
Light Lightweight: FW                    Light Heavyweight: CW
Normal Lightweight: LW                 Normal Heavyweight:  HW

Changed fleaweight to featherweight instead. We could make fleaweight and UHW "insane" versions of LW/HW too.

I like this format, we could have AI packs for LW and HW only weight classes based on these with at least 5 bots on each team from the different weight classes.

Except for the feather and fleaweights. 100kg is going to get you barely anything and the most dull fights possible, and feather is also pretty pointless. But Ian did love his sub LW bots very dearly.

I remembered watching some sport and aapparently their Cruiserweight champ was a small short guy who couldn't have weighed more than 160 pounds. He was tiny and I just assumed cruiserweight was a light weightclass.

I think the adoption of an unofficial 600KG class is a great idea. I've always been bothered by the weird discrepancy in the weight classes of the game (even though I know the game's formula is LW x 2 = MW and MW x 2 = HW).
The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

how it is unofficial ? by now it's pretty official

and yes honestly a weightclass between MW and HW at 600kg is just fine. It makes a good new metagame.

IMO We should also separate UHW into different classes, but there are a few good arguments against it :
-no one cares enough
-we'd run out of good/serious names
-we have already enough classes.

All these subweight bot classes are just still nonsense though. 100kg. lolwut you can't build anything at that.

and there's barely any difference between a 150kg bot and a 175kg bot.

Official weightclasses still are AW, BW, LW, MW, CW, HW, SHW, UHW.

And yes, light heavyweight sounds dumb. By all means a light heavyweight is an underweight heavyweight.

"Unofficial" meaning that the inner workings of the game still only recognize the original three classes. :P

What? Cruiserweights aren't popular to begin with, and 200kg "featherweights" are only 25 more kg more that beetleweights. We aren't in any dire need of new weight classes.
How you make Alarm Clock Pizza is:
Step 1: You buy an alarm clock from the store, and then you have to break it and put it in the sauce.
Step 2: Fold the sauce in 5 slices and put it in the dough.
Step 3: Paint the eggs with a pitcher of a clock showing what time you want to wake up and eat pizza for breakfast.
Step 4: Put the eggs in the dough.
Step 5: Make it flat into a round shape and draw the time you want on it.
Step 6: Put some old steel to prevent other peple from stealing it.
Step 7: Make it flat and cut into 60 slices 1 for each minute in 1 our.
Step 8: Put in the oven set the timer to 30048813.2884 seconds and put the temperature on 'Volcano' setting.
Step 9: If you think it is take to long, then get yor alarm clock and set it to now so that it will ring and you can take it out.
Step 10: Take it out uv the uvin wen it is redy and go to bed. In the morning eat pizza and also eat yor hands bi mistake.

that was worded badly. I meant it would be about as popular as cruiserweights are, that is to say not very much.
