yah, the title says it all. Personally I think that the replicas are harder because the specially made parts for that particular bot act as armour therefore making it harder to destroy.
What do you guys think? :D ...
-
Remakes. Why? Some of the best botbuilders in the community built them, with parts that they had been using for several weeks, at the very least.
-
Hey, I'm not knocking the people who made the remakes I especially have trouble grog and second sentinel, the people who created the bots are just as great as the remakes themselves. :D I'm just saying for example T-Minus , the frontal plates that make it look like the real thing are extremely tough and untill you shred those off you can't really take it out...
-
Umm... Are you saying that T-Minus is tough bot?
You obviously haven't seen my The Ultimate Spike Beetle -bot against it.
-
The remakes are WAY harder, but the replicas are much more fun. I like to see how many pieces come off before only the chassis is left. It is also fun to see what the actual chassis of the replicas looks like, not just the shell.
-
actually now i have been playing it more i'm starting
to agree with you guys.
oh and mr weedy yes if the match doesnt start very well sometimes my lightweights can have trouble with it. mind you I am a rubbish builder when it comes to DSL. I'm much better with stock.
-
I think its the replicas that take it the tough route even after knowing wat to do.
Just see Hypno disc, t`was one of the best bots in robo wars.
Even after the hardwork, the dsl team got the disc wrong wid just 2 attachment points.
-
Actually it depends.
Yea Hypnodisc is really tough, but my WORST nightmares on DSL2 are M.O.E. and WIIDELOAD.
Got always owned by them.
-
M.O.E. is just a slow bot with a overpowered bar spinner. easily can be won if you can get to his back. Hworf is a little bit hard. WIIDELOAD is good, but if you can get under fast enough and give a well timed hit on the bottom can be 1-Hit KOed.
-
Precisely I can't get to his back easily even with fast bots, he's pretty good at keeping that spinner aimed on you. Nearly had him one time, but got destroyed first.
To think of it, perhaps MOE could be crushed by a correct hybrid VS/ flipper, but I fear the spinning disc could be deflected by his bar...
-
M.O.E. and Wide Load are tough bots.
For M.O.E. if you can hit its megablade with a weapon heavy enough you can break it in 3-4 hits.
For wide load a speedy bot with pistons at front is good enough to break its cylenders in one hit.
-
Actually I fought and win VS the two, but it was with a completely insane bot (DSL upgrade of my Tribute to Mayhem bot, just 2 discs with servo-enhanced E-Teks... highly unstable but HIGH damage, have a hit at 2000 and made 3 consecutive hits in one second at more than 1000 each. The iron spikes get ripped VERY easily too).
I discovered that MOE and WIIDELOAD have weak armor, especially WIIDELOAD who could be destroyed with a few good chassis hits, perhaps plastic or aluminium armor I think. Unfortunately he has external plating)
But they're still very tough bots.
-
I think the hardest robots (not including replicas) are Second Sentinel (depending on what robot you're using), Critical Emergency (although he's the easiest of the tough robots in my opinion), Wiide load, Cranky Spanky, Ripblade II (because I'm often using a flipper when I come up against it), Backyard shredder and Pon2n
-
Second Sentinel and Critical Emergency are easy to go under if you're using a front wedge body with several small wedges on snappers.
-
i would definetly say the replicas they have parts that take hundreds of hits and by the i have scratched it I'm dead.Plus i really need a tutorial on how to build a robot with dsl v2.0
-
The Remakes are evil, some of my better bots can beat most of the Replicas, but the Remakes give me a hard time.
-
The remakes defo. Gammaraze III (who no one mentioned) and MOE are tough.
WIIDE LOAD is pretty easy. Me and my friend knocked his spinners off easy with hypnodisc and Mechavore.
-
You're using bots with custom components for serious fights?
-
Hypnodisc disc and Mechavore disc are not cheatbot2 components. Gammaraze is easy with a good wedge.
-
He said he got WIIDELOAD with Hypnodisc and Mechavore... and i just checked, Hypnodisc had cheatbot2 teeth and a cheatbot2 weapon motor. I bet it's the same thing with Mechavore.
-
No, Hypnodisc's teeth are used on Blood Runner, and you don't have to put in cheatbot2 to use them.
-
There's a cheat version of the tooth that's stronger.
-
Exactly. As many other components used on the replicas: there are two versions of them, example the Minion disc used on Minion is stronger and more powerful than the non-cheatbot2 one.
-
oh, okay.
-
Otherwise the bots would do no ample damage.
