I've kinda been planning to start up a tournament when I've got some spare time in uni, and I needed to find some recording software. I hear a lot about FRAPS on here, but there's only a 30-day trial version with VERY limited functions, and I have literally no money to buy the full version. As luck would have it, I stumbled across an alternative - WeGame. It offers more or less the same functions as FRAPS, you can record at either 15, 20, 25 or 30 FPS, at 640x480 (Web Size), Half-size or Full-size (Not sure what the resolution or quality's like at those levels), and you can choose whether or not to record sound with the video.
And it's totally free. =D

EDIT: Something I forgot about [this happened to me as well], you have to sign up and create an account on the WeGame site before you can access the software. Still free.

I downloaded it, and went to make an account (which it asked). It gave me this. What do I do?
*cough*
And when I said that the thread gets cleaned out, I thought it was in the Tournament Management Thread XD
Still better to have its own thread though.

Ah, I forgot that that happens. What you have to do is click "Sign Up" on the top left of the WeGame site, I've added a link in the first post.

Mine doesn't connect to the internet. Then it crashes.

Can't edit it with WMM
Colours get mixed up
I'm uploading a video to show you what I mean

Here it is

Notice how the colours are messed up?
-
Those colours are baaaaad. For now I'm happy with the trial version of ZD Soft Game recorder.
-
The videos I posted on the Battleshots thread are both using WeGame. No color mixup (except with NT2003)
-
I don't know why the colours are messed up, but when I watch it back to myself in WMP, it's fine. Have you got the resolution set right or something?
