It might be possible but thats a lot of adjustment for all four legs cause 2 won't work. I have an idea for one now I'll try to let you know If I complete it and it works.

I know it sounds fun but im pretty sure it would just end up being for the lols coz I reckon it would ultimately fail in a battle,

I seem to remember seeing something on youtube about a box that had legs and arms and walked like a human would (the whole swinging your arms and legs in time sorta thing) But it could only move for a short time before collapsing, pretty sweet all the same tho :P

I made a shuffle robot that takes steps to move forward through python coding

This is NOT a walker.

Personally i built a (very) few walkers using burst motors, but they end up failing.

Back then when we had that argument about... o wait, it was about it being ghey cause similar to a crawler. Nevermind :P

Back on topic, here's my personal walker style:

Built while drunk, and doesn't works :rage

hard to recall... you call every second robot ghey

a correct walker could be done with axle restricted spin motors and 3 guys human controlling it :P (or AI)

Combat Ants 2 awards thread IIRC

I think axle restricted servos would work better ?

And it depends of how many legs it has. It would be a complete bitch to make a biped one, but quadruped... and depending on how you want it to move.

I had one that worked kinda like Gammatron. It used 4 servo pistons and a DSL disk on a servo to turn.

I tried building one about a year ago, and I failed. :P

If I modified the servos and actuators to be 20 times stronger, I could probably make it work. But due to its low power, it can only do this:

The problem with walker-bots is that as they walk they damage there own legs in the process.
But nonetheless, walker-bots are still very fun to make :3

if you used wheel components as feet it wouldnt be damaged since rubber components dont receive any damage from the floor and walls.

True. But they would have to be horizontal wheels.
