Alright, as most of you probably know I had a working agod solution for a while there but then (unfortunately) forgot a few of the key steps in doing so.
However, there are a few other quirks of using the pause button that might be of use in AI tournaments.
On local single player matches(matches that do not use LAN/INTERNET) if you pause before you start the round, the round will load instantly and all the bounding boxes will be aligned perfectly with their components, and then you can unpause and the start the fight..
This means that, even if your parts don't line up perfectly in the garage, if you pause before matches and unpause after the match begins your parts will be aligned perfectly.
If pausing before matches became a new tournament standard, I think it would save a lot of headaches for those who have had no luck aligning their bots, yet still want to compete.
Poor programming and faulty game design shouldn't be part of what makes a good bot, so I don't think it would necessarily be unfair to those who have aligned their bot perfectly by themselves.
Just a thought.
OH AND FOR FUTURE REFERENCE I AM REPOSTING THIS BECAUSE MY OTHER THREAD WAS CLOSED, I FIGURED "TOURNAMENT" SUGGESTIONS BELONGED IN THE TOURNAMENT AND CONTESTS BOARD, MY BAD GUYS!!!
