The self robotic evolution project...
« on: July 23, 2009, 10:26:11 AM »
here is the idea: AI some newbies bots, no matter how crap, and get them to improve by themselves by AI'ing each "Generation". Essentially, Replicating a form of evolution to see what things pop out.

It's not a biased thing, it's just an experiment. All we need is a person who can AI and Ain't the kinda person who will nag every detail.

I know, I know... The idea seems stupid. But when you think about it, it's a pretty good form of teaching... eh?

Who wants to try it?

The bots are evolving.

Basically, evolution is stuff that is better replacing older stuff.

Pretty simplistic view of it, but your essentially right. So, the bots get better as the newbie builds new bots which are then Aied by good Aiers?
Any comments would be appreciated. :D

Yeah, they're basically learning by themselves, without any outside help.

I used to run a screensaver that demonstrated creature evolution, where their goal was to move as far as possible. After half a year of running, mine developed some sort of legs.

we could do something like the ai evolevovles itself. it makes some random tactics and seees which ones stand up to the hardest bots. maybe  a sns might become some sorta poker.

OK then, Make about 15 LW's, 15 MW's and 15 HW's and send them to me. I'll post them in pictures, AI them, send them back to you. You then build bots to beat your already AIed ones.

Simple? Betcha.

Whoa! Hold It. 15 of each class? I don't have that kind of time.

Sorry. Maybe try to get LRA2 to do it. Lord knows he needs the practice.

And plus I hadn't noticed the AIing part. I haven't learned to AI yet.
