Title: SUPER ULTRA Heavyweight Challenge
Post by: Sage on July 24, 2010, 09:35:17 PM
https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/SUHW.rar (https://gametechmods.com/uploads/files/SUHW.rar)

We all know it's a challenge to build an AW, because of the severely limited weight. But what about the other way? It might even be more of a challenge to build a SUHW... and that's what this thread is about.

Basically, a SUHW is 10000 kgs (anti-ballast linked up top). Can you build one? The rule is it must be AT LEAST 9500 kgs. DSL. No custom components.

We'll vote on the best one (like BOTM) sometime soon, after I get a few entries (no bots, just pics please).

Have fun!

I'll try but my computer can hardly handle a 36 mace HS. I don't see how it will handle a 10000kg bot. :/

Sounds like the place were all the bad little frame-rates go when they die.

Is there a realistic rule?

The laziest way to build one is by giving the largest chassis possible Steel 10, then put MEs all around and do Hammer4 chains everywhere. If that's not enough, fill the rest of the chassis space with 60kg ballasts. :P

What about realism and file editing rules?

I can hardly build a good SHW, let alone these monsters.

Are UHW multibots allowed though?

Sorry, forgot to mention. Has to be done in the bot lab, realism rule applies (but is pretty loose, just no overlapping motors and batteries)

Or just cover your bot with overkill wedges  :rage

Left me out.....if you are going to make a monster, why make him normal......he is no longer a monster!

So are we allowed to say have to( for example) discs over lap?

Lol building to 5000 kg is already a lag fest, going over that without BFE is just asking for the game to freeze up.

10000 kg bots? I'll try it but this is going to seriously push the max sphere.

Never mind the lag, think about the frontend load times! It could take 12 minutes to get a bot like that into the lab.

may the best computer win... or survive

Sage can pay out the winner's robots weight in $USD, so the higher the better :P

It takes about 3 minutes to load a bot WITH the pause button.  I know cuz I went over 10,000 kg before, and that thing doesn't even have flails.

Also, standard realistic rules?
